Golfer Reviews
Course is I good shape.
Great day for golf. Unfortunately partner injured his arm so we quit after 9 holes. Course was busy but golf ears moved right along.
great opportunity
I truly love playing at this course. The staff is friendly and fast.
Geat course
I have played few private clubs tis year and even their greens are damaged due to the past harsh winter. For some reason, the greens at Indian Springs MP. are in great shape, no damages whatsoever. This a long course and one must use every club in your bag. The greens are very tricky with undulations, and large, one can easily 3 put. Overall, one of the best course for the money in SE Michigan. The only thing they can improve is the sand,
No Complaints
I was politely greeted, when I arrived. The starter informed us of a novice couple in front of us. He said, if they slow us down, to give them a call. About the midway point, a Ranger stopped and asked if everything was OK. We were done in less than 4 hrs.
The course is in good shape, and I'll play there again.
Nice course
My wife and I play this course once a week. We really like the course and it is plenty challenging, at least for us. Conditions were good but, the pace was very slow, and we never saw a ranger during the entire round. It usually isn't too slow. Not sure what the problem was this time.
DISCOUNT DECEIVED
After booking this tee time at Indiana Springs metro park at $23.00 discount on line with Golf now. I arrived at the entrance to find that a $7.00 entrance fee to the park was needed. In the past YOU COULD RECEIVE PART OF THAT PRICE BACK WHEN YOU PLAY GOLF- NOT NOW. I asked at the desk about a refund of my parking fee and the staff all said that the parking fee is included with the discount so in reality I paid $30.00 to play here. No where that I could find on the golf now website does it say that fact. So even though I enjoyed the course, I was disappointed in the price when I thought I was getting a deal. It should state somewhere on the website that is the case.
Very challenging course
The course was in very good shape. Most greens were perfect. A few were a little thin but barely noticeable. As usual they were pretty fast and hard to read. The putt bends more than you think it will. The rest of the course was in very good shape. It's length will surely test you. I will be back for more!
Best Greens of the year
I have played a few courses and all the courses, even the high end courses, had dead grass. The greens here were in perfect condition.
These metroparks are a well kept secret.
Indian Hills is a great bang for the buck. Beautiful course and a super friendly staff. Will definitely come back.
challenging nice golf course
This is very long course and maintains very nice. I really enjoyed playing here. Spectacular greens. Good value for money paid.
Perfect afternoon.
Teed off on a Saturday afternoon labor day weekend with my wife, luckily for us we had no one in front of us so pace of play for once was not an issue. We enjoyed the scenery ( saw a few deer at a couple different times) and each others company, got into our individual zones. I won the front nine 1 up and darn if she didn't sink a 15 footer to win the back nine 1 up to finish a great day on this beautiful course. This course regular prices are a bit steep but with golfnow prices you can't beat it.
Well worth the Price
Beautiful course, well maintained. the staff was super friendly and kept the pace on the course. We did get paired up, but it was nice to meet new people. This course in my opinion is a $40.00 18 hole course for 1/2 the price. Awesome!!
:Play it if you can book it. Great course, Technical difficulties
Beautiful course, very well maintained, part of the Huron Metro Park system, one of three courses. I play it often, first time as a golf now customer. Greens were in good, shape, however when I played in June they were pristine. This is mostly due to irresponsible golfers who were the wrong spikes or just won't repair ball marks. The greens are sloping and undulating leading to many challenging putts. The break, however, usually reads true. Nice course layout, wide fairways, lots of protected natural areas, and signage that denotes wildlife and conservation efforts of the park. Strategically placed trees, bushes, bunkers, water and several slopes, that can lead to challenging second shots , but not impossible for those who don't drive straight,. It does, however, reward the well placed ball. The golfers on the course are pace conscious leading to a very enjoyable round
The only problem with playing Indian Springs as a golf now customer is booking the tee time. This was my 6th or 7th attempt to do so including 3 times calling golf now to book. This has persisted all summer. I would have golfed here several times if it were not for the technical difficulties with the courses web-site and or phones. Fix the technical problem!
Great course, value and very satisfied
I have played this course in the past and paid the market rate.
However, when I saw the reduced pricing thanks to to GolfNow, I jumped on it immediately. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this location and golfing day
Unexpected Challenge
Originally played the course for the 7am tee time and price/location. Didn't expect much of a challenge due to the yardage and "metro park" course stigma. Turns out that other than the first 4-5 holes, this course will penalize you for inaccurracy and althugh the greens are not fast, there is enough undulation to put pins in locations that will drive you crazy. Great value for the money and now I want to play again just to prove to myself I can score there!
Well maintained
The course is always in good condition, the only draw back is the pace of play 4-3/4 to 5 hours is to long. They need to have the ranger keep pace. Overall a great value for the money.
I play here a minimum once a week and I never get tired of playing it, keeps you coming back for more.
Few surprises on this one...
There were very few surprises on this course. Pretty straightforward. If you can hit the ball fairly straight and read a few breaks on the greens, you can definitely score well here. A good place to play to sharpen your driving skills and gain a bit of confidence. Caution on overconfidence leaving the course! Overall B- grade. Don't drive too far (or pay too much) to play this course or you will be disappointed. Be prepared for the MetroPark entrance fee ($5) also. $4 refunded by the course.
