One of many scenic holes at Spring Meadow Photo submitted by Cory3302115 on 06/23/2014
Friendly staff
There are no signs for the hole numbers. We weren’t the only ones confused out there. Why can’t a simple thing like number on signs be installed??
Otherwise pretty nice time out there.
The Course is in Very Good Shape
My compliments to the folks that are taking care of the course. I have been playing this course randomly for the past 4 years and this is the best condition the course has been in. I will be playing it more often in the future.
Unique layout
course was in good shape. A few bare spots here and there on fairways and tee boxes. Greens were good and had a little speed on them. Rough not bad at all. Best part were the unique holes. Not your usual golfcourse! Lots of outdoor seating at restaurant with many patrons.
Good course, decent conditions
The course was in worse shape than the last time I played here a year ago but the conditions were still decent and it seems like they were doing work on it. Some tee boxes had no grass, a few sand traps were in bad shape, and a few greens needed some upkeep. But, otherwise, I enjoy the layout, the staff are friendly, and the range is not bad for getting some practice swings in. For the price it's a good option. I plan to come back.
more mud than grass
Tee boxes are as bad as you can get. Just in bad shape. bunkers ok. greens ok if not burned out. so many bare spots around the course, and the balls find those. And how about a Hole # somewhere at the tee?? First time playing there, there's no way to know if you're on the right hole.
Great course
Played the course two days in a row on my Jersey Shore vacation. This was the first time I had been to the course. Both days I played with 2 other players I was paired up with and they couldn't have been nicer. The pro shop and starter personnel were exceptionally nice and helpful. The course is all-in-all in good shape. Some exceptions were some of the tee boxes were just dirt, some bunkers were wet and firm, and some tight lies on some fairways. The layout is quite diverse with a number of elevated tee boxes. Greens are generally small. Fairways mainly wide. Would definitely play here again.
In Serious Need of Some Grass Seed
Course has a great layout, but some of the tee boxes need grass seed. Like hitting off a parking lot.
Not worth the money
Played this course early Saturday morning on 8/22. Not worth the $70 to play. The fairways and greens were in incredibly rough shape. Lots of crab grass on the fairways. Sometimes you were better off hitting from the rough since atleast that was grass. There were also no signs out by each hole so you were just hoping you were playing the correct hole based on the scorecard. Course needs some TLC!
