Great Muny, fantastic folks
Yes the course was a little beat up. It’s October. But I can see the late season improvements that they’re trying to make and I really want to see this place next year in late June or early July. The layout is so good and I love that it’s adjacent to a park that it’s enjoyed by the community. Even the loud music coming from the parking lot was enjoyable.
We were teamed with a couple of locals that know the course and they helped us navigate the blind tee shots. This duo were also a lot of fun.
Staff was great and had a nice sense of humor after a stressful frost delay.
I like this place. I’ll be back if I can score a tee time.

Surprise
We booked thru teeoff, never even knew this place existed. Played half the round in drizzle. Starter was very friendly and informative about the course, and even came out to check on us early. It's not terribly long (we play from the white tees), good for our group between age 63 and 72. The greens rolled well and are very consistent, although a few had some dry rot areas. Tight fairways, mostly good tee boxes. Some tees and greens are tightly bunched, probably hear a lot of "fore" when busy! We liked it, and will be back.

Poor condition this time of year
Called a week before and guy told me greens n course in great shape. Well that’s crap. Greens chopped up n tee box were same way.

I’ve seen worse
Ok for the money but greens need a lot of work. Tee boxes and greens to the next holes were way too close and dangerous especially with bad misses

On that day they were a horrible. Uncut. Unrolled. Multiple bare spots. Excessive pitch marks.

Holding up well to the heat
Course employees are always very nicexand helpful. Course conditions are very good considering the heat spell we have had. Players are always very nice and enjoy their company.

Fun layout, great tree lined course
Was impressed. Fun course. It was a poor man’s ridgewood meets a cheap rock spring course.
I would and did recommend this course to my buddies.
There are two downsides - A lot of waiting (I played on the Friday of Labor Day so maybe to be expected.) and I hear FOUR was yelled multiple times ~8. It’s a very tight course

Nice track for short game
Don’t sleep on Weequahic it’s tight and will test your short game and accuracy.
Also someone will be hitting out of your fairway for the same reason above.

Pro Needs Better People Skills
We had a 5pm tee time and showed up around 4:30, the pro told us we would need to wait a bit. No problem. When we took our receipt to the starter, he asked “you guys want to get out early,” so we absolutely said yes, with an entire hole open and no one on the tee box. The Pro came out telling us how he “told us to wait til 5 and then went behind his back and asked the pro to get off early anyways.” incredibly accusatory with completely incorrect information. Very much a turn off, will seek golf elsewhere in the future.
Amazing track and a hidden gem
Kind of a short course but from tips around 5800
It’s a course where you can post some low scores and get confidence back in your game. Staff was amazing. Ranger goes out to check on course multiple times. Water coolers on course. Amenities that are nicer than some private country clubs. No range but very nice large hitting net and putting green. Great people. Great course for a great price. Easy course to walk.
