Lame in the Fall
Fair to good in the Spring, lame in the Fall. No grass.
Thank you for the feedback, Kevin.
terrible condition
unfortunately the weather has taken its toll on the course...many of the fairways were dirt...no grass...greens were also very bumpy & chewed up...played in an outing here last year & the course was very nice...fairways are being aerated but should have been notified and would have played somewhere else...i'd stay away the rest of the season
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We continue to work to improve our conditions and we appreciate your patience as we continue to strive towards excellence.
Ok for the rate
Fairways and greens needed help.
Thank you for the feedback, Michael. We're continuously working to improve our conditions and we hope you'll play here again soon.
Could of given a discount....
Air-rated the fairways....on some of the back nine holes....
Terrible playing conditions...
Thank you for the feedback. Unfortunately, aeration is necessary to keep our greens healthy and promote growth. We thank you for your patience and hope to see you again!
local
just off route 1 , very convenine. nice narrow fairway
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review! We hope to see you again soon!
Good place to use all of your clubs
Princeton CC is a shorter course but you must have good control of your tee shots to play well. Most holes have tree lined fairways and doglegs. A stray shot will put you in a punch out back to the fairway. Will use a lot of fairway metals and 6i-wedges. Been playing here since I started the game up over 40 years ago.
Thanks so much for the review, Ron! We love hearing from our longtime golfers and really appreciate the tips!
An experience to remember
The course was in great condition. The greens did not roll like they looked but after a few holes I caught on.
From the pro shop to the starter all were friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the round immensely! I even had a couple of birdies.
Thank you for your 5 Star review! We are thrilled to hear about what an enjoyable time you had on our course. Nice job on the birdies! Please come back and play again soon!
Course nice...bar staff not
The PCC is a very nice course. It is a narrow course with plenty of blind greens. Overall the golf is nice but in order to have a truly great day of golf, it must include the bar area & that needs plenty of improvement. A smile or warm greeting as we are buying tons of drinks would be great.
Thank you for your review on our course. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your round! However, we apologize for your experience at the bar area and will address this situation internally. Thank you for letting us know. We hope this will not deter you from coming back and playing another round with us in the future!
1st Timer
Very nice course, not long but challenging enough to keep you honest. Would play from the blues, next time out. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Good price using Golf Now.
Thank you for the 5 star review! We're glad to add a bit of a challenge to your game. Hope to see you soon, Derrick!
Short but tight
Course is in much better condition than it used to be. One of the better maintained public courses, but all of the mercer county courses are well maintained.
This course is great practice for your shortgame. There are a lot of tight tee shots, and if you can drive 230+, you will be best served hitting irons off the tee most of the day.
It is so tight that you almost always see 2 other foursomes playing other holes at other times.
This course is a great value, and a good place to work out the kinks in your wedge play.
Thank you for the great feedback, almarchetta! Lots of great tips and insight!
Very Nice Greens
First time playing at the course, and enjoyed it. The greens are relatively fast, and well-maintained. It is very short course, and you should be accurate on driving. Otherwise, it could be a long day...
We're so glad to hear that your first round went well, Jason! We hope to see you again soon!
Pleasantly surprised
Tad short, tends to take the driver out of your hands, but makes you hit well placed golf shots. Greens were fast, which I prefer. All greens seem to slope up, front to back, which favors a bump and run, if your not spinning the ball. Enjoyed my round. I'll be back.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, hugarahora! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your round with us and we hope you'll visit us again soon!
Very good Value
The only thing that I could even think of complaining about were the bunkers and they were not even that bad. This course could sure use a little bit more sand in them but they are far from being horrible unlike the cheap courses that have no sand at all.
My co-workers and I took a half day for work and got a 2:10 tee time on Golfnow.com for a great price. The greens were very good (not many unfixed ball marks). The fairways were perfect. This was a well maintained course.
I would definitely go back if I was able to get the price on Golfnow again. Our pace of play was great. We only had a wait a few times (maybe twice) on the PAR 3s before teeing off. At the end of the day, we finished our round in 3H 50M.
We really appreciate you taking the time to leave a review, Kayano! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed our conditions and finished your round in good time!
Princeton
Course has a nice layout, lot of bad lies even in fairways, i.e. Dirt patches, pace of play was slow , staff extremely friendly, I would go back if I know the best time not to get behind 70 something year old lady's, glad they only played 9! But it was a great value , I'd go back again in future!
Thank you for the feedback, Tim! We're continuously working to improve our conditions and we hope you'll visit us again.
Regret....
Second time back on this course but, regretful after a round. Overall condition was poor. Front 9 was below average fairway condition with bumpy green. Some fairways were hard to distinguish between fairway and rough.
For back 9, what can I say....This course needs major repair to fix drainage system. Yes, there was light rain before my round but it wasn't a harsh rain to make it unplayable. It's improper drainage. I've played in rainy condition worst than this day but, this course made it very difficult to even walk on fairway with soggy and muddy condition. Even an elevation greens were soak and had soggy condition. To make matters worst, I had to rush to finish my round in hurry because a ranger came by and inform me that I must return my cart before 4:15PM. At other courses, they usually advise to return before sundown. I checked forecast this day and sundown was at 4:52PM. Even with GolfNow bargain, I have a regret I chose this day to play here for a second time.
We're sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your round, William7633805.
In regards to the drainage, that was from the flooding rain that happened earlier in the week. Our drainage has been much improved but unfortunately when we get that much rain during this time of year when the ground is frozen, the water that accumulates stays around as ice and when the warmer temperatures came with some additional rain – that melting produced some terrible playing conditions on those holes.
As for the cart issue, you are absolutely right. You should not have been made to return the cart that early. Please know that we have spoken to our staff about this and communicated that "return by sunset" is our policy.
We hope you will come and play us again. Have a great weekend!
Winter Golf
Had fun playing in January. 40 degrees and sunny. The ball semed to go a little further than when it's warm so I had to play short of the greens and let it roll to the hole. If you hit the green with a high shot it bounced of the green. But the course was in very good shape, greens were good, staff were friendly and I played in under 3 hours. A couple of walkers out there on my latter holes but that did not slow me down.
Thanks for the great feedback, uOCJU5977OC! We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your round with us! Hope to see you again soon!
Great greens
Beautiful weather. Course in great shape. Only issue carts had to be in at 2pm. Noon t time. Hot deal got lukewarm after that. No notice of that issue when booking
Thank you for the good review, susan1! We will endeavor to make our cart policy more visible. Hope to see you again!
Leaves
Too many leaves left in the fairway very hard to find your ball.
Thank you for the feedback, uraway22! We apologize for the amount of leaves on the course and we hope you'll return to play here again soon.!
