Terrible course
I will never play here again, course was in terrible shape after a light rain. Leave your golf shoes at home and bring your Muck boots here to play. The back nine was almost totally under water. For $85 a round with a cart, only a fraction of the holes here aren’t cart path only. No ranger to enforce slow play and no bev cart. Absolute dog track of a course. What a joke.
Good Value
I live less than 2 miles from the course in Middlesex County. Back in late 80’s NJ put a County Green Acres program. Unless you live “In County” you pay larger green fees if you don’t live in Union County. I live In Middlesex County. The closest 72 regulations golf course is in East Brunswick 30 minutes away.
I use Golf Now to get reasonable green fees. The course was wet in some areas due to rain several days before. The greens were in great shape and very puttable. The pace of play was very good the courses not crowded.
I would definitely recommend this course.
Ash Brook Golf Course
First time playing there. Layout of course was nice especially if you're a beginner. Some areas of the course had poor drainage and the fairway was somewhat soggy. Good pace of play and very friendly, accommodating staff. I’ll definitely play there again.

Started on-time. The greens were fast and very fun.
Back 9 was wet and needs attention.
This could be a much better course if the management company would invest to address its shortcomings with the amount of money and players playing there.
Solid value
Great value if you can find a hot deal. Deals for seniors/vets too! Great staff.
