Nice
Nice and clean
Nice tee boxes fairways and greens
Shady Rest
Very nice nine hole course. Short course but we knew that going in and were fine with that. Only negative was that the group in front of us was young and iin experienced. Very slow, did not understand the concept of keeping up pace of play. Had to sit on every tee box while they wandered around looking for balls, excessive time putting etc. Seemed like there were a few groups like this.
Great Course
Good Course for Intermediate and Beginner players. Accuracy is key!
Nostalgia
I learned how to play the game on this course in 1985 and played it until I left eh area in 1995 so this was a bit of nostalgia after the name change. Much remains the same, although sadly the course conditions have slipped. the greens used to be the best public greens in the country true and lightning fast. Theyre not bad now, but much much slower than they used to be, which is a shame because that is this very short course's defence. Fairways were good. Bunkers were a tradgedy. Really terrible. Also the tee boxes on the fitfth hole have been moved, which makes the hole much less of a challenge. Overall a nice bit of nostalgia. Id love to see the greens go back to where they used to be, and the bunkers maintatined. Its a great little course that plays way harder than you might imagine.
