Play here pretty regularly. The staff always has some sort of issue or point to prove… and I’ve heard it from other golfers as well. Greens are a wreck with dead spots all over and in some places just mud.
Definitely would suggest getting out here if you’re like me and prefer practicing on grass rather than at a turf driving range mat. But, do not go here expecting a gorgeous round. Plenty of other courses around but the price here does reflect the quality of play.

Good value except...
I have been playing at this course for years well before the renovation. The course has seen some great improvements. The round started on time and the pace was great. That being said there are many bunkers where there is hard sand and actual rocks. I'm not hitting out of those. I also watched the greenskeepers drive their very heavy carts directly onto the green and sit there for about 5-10 minutes. There are two other holes that have tire marks on the greens. If you let your greenskeepers drive on the greens there is going to be some serious problems keeping your greens playable.

Nice Golf Day
Had a good time playing my round. The upkeep of the course has improved and there was significantly less goose poop than previous rounds. Two comments: the driving range needs more tees. The bunker sand is more like dirt and is damaging to clubs. I guess I have to work on staying out of them!

Not bad
This is a good walking course. They have a a driving range, putting and chipping areas. The greens could be in better shape. No starter to coordinate tee times. They just tell you to go to the first tee and play. Nice bar and restaurant for the 19th hole.

Course is in poor condition
You get what you pay for with this course. Low price for a short course in poor condition.

Approaches lookgood
A project to repair the green approaches surprised me. Best condition I ever seen the course. Put that black tee box back on the other tee box and make#14 a par 5

Best public course in North Jersey
It's incredible to see what EOGC has turned into over the last decade. The clubhouse is really nice, practice facilities are good, and the upgrades they've made to the course have worked out really nice. Our round went by without a hitch, pace of play was fine considering we were behind 2 foursomes (one of which was all walking). Course was in good shape and overall I look forward to coming back.

Good beginner course
First time playing here good course played 18 fairly quickly. Good restaurant on site that is a little pricey but the stand at the turn had a great selection and fair pricing overall great experience especially for the cost.
