East Orange Golf Course

Picked up about 12 beer cans from the group in front of me. They were dropping about a can per hole, even though there are trash cans on just about every tee box. When I caught up to them on 15, they called me a scumbag (for pointing this out) and said they were going to play the rest of the round with their putter. I walked to the front office and told the man behind the desk about all this, didn’t get offered a refund. Probably won’t play here again, it’s a shame. They need rangers out there to keep a minimum level of accountability (the group I was talking about also almost had a physical altercation with the group in front of them after they all hit their second shot at them while they were on the green, where are the rangers?)

Second time I played here. Really nice muni in the inner city. Considering it was Jan 2nd and we had a week of cool rainy days before the course was in good shape with only a few puddles in fairways and bunkers. Greens were in very good shape. Fairways wide. Worth playing.

The staffs were very cold and unfriendly.

I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable.

Course was not maintained at all.

It was full of bird’s dropping everywhere, fairways and greens were in below average condition

I paid for the carts but they said no carts without explanation or apology.

I would never come back here even if it’s free.

No wonder they always have tee time available.

The GN has 3.6 but that’s totally overrated and it’s no more than 2.5 in my opinion. Don’t waste your money.

The course was Terrible!! There was goose crap everywhere and the course was wet. It was so bad I only played 9 holes.

Love the staff. They help set the tone for a pleasant day. Course was free of leaves, but sadly the geese love the course too. This course suffers from the same ailment at all courses during a warm winter...geese crap. But it didn't deter me from enjoying the day on nice course despite horrible play. 8-( Rest room facilities are the tops.

Course was in very average shape but was just happy to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather. We played 9 holes walking for $20 which I think is a fair price. Starter let us go off the back nine and we avoided a backup on the front. That was greatly appreciated.

The restaurant is very nice but a bit pricey for after golf lunch.

Great day though.

Solid muni course that is usually pretty crowded ... however cold weather had the place empty! Solid greens and tee boxes moved around for the winter. Can't say anything bad or complain about winter golf in NJ. Great day!!

Cart road was like bumpy with stone not paved. fairway has lots of divots. surrounding tee box is like jungle haha.

Good conditions at local short course East orange.

Good conditions and some attractive pricing on hot deals makes local East orange a winner. The starter red has retired until next spring but conditions are still good.

Course is really in bad shape but we played in the late November Thanksgiving day so for that it was fine

The relatively level landscaping makes this course easy to walk. We played the front 9. Grounds were in very good shape. Holes could be better marked for first-time players, especially. Restaurant offered a wide selection of appealing dishes, and food was great. Gave it an excellent rating for combination of value, conditions, and ease of play.

Course overall is improving every time I go. Wasn’t very happy with the Maintenance crew as they had no courtesy to those playing the course. I understand they work hard to get the course in shape but to sit there 10 ft from you while putting is unacceptable. See picture. The person in this picture is not the one writing the review.
