East Orange Golf Course

By far the worst course and staff in the state. Anyone giving this course a good review either works for the course, or is a relative of someone who works for the course. DO NOT waste your money.

I’ve never gone through the trouble of ever writing a review before but this place really deserves it This course is absolutely atrocious and run by complete clowns. I could type up an essay on everything wrong with this place so I’ll spare you the details but first and foremost the conditions are complete garbage. By far the worst I’ve ever seen in my life. Half the course is mud. I can usually excuse that because I’m used to playing a lot of rough courses but this way beyond that. The worst part of the experience was that the staff is clueless when it comes to running a golf course and dealing with them is more aggravating than helpful. I’m a patient person but after 1 hole I wanted to get out of there

I like playing East Orange. It’s a nice layout and this year with all the rain the greens are a good shape. The fairways are cut and also in good shape. The only problem I have is that the tee boxes especially on hole 7 need to be worked on. They need to move them around and so they’re not all worn out. Also, the ball washes water needs to be changed. Its like mud. It doesn’t take much to make this a really nice course.

The teebox grass is way too high, and the greens are a bit slow. Prices at the halfway house are astronomical - $13.31 for a standard size can of Surfside + tip for handing me a can! Unacceptable. This is not a 5-star resort or Yankees Stadium.

Easy course to walk and holes aren’t too challenging, so it’s good for practice.

Pace of play could be a little quicker course ranger couldspeed up play if they were more present

Course was nice. Staff was very pleasant. The pace was slow but it was a busy Sunday. The group behind us kept hitting up on us and we had nowhere to go because we had to wait for the group in front of us. Would definately play it again.

Before golf pass I paid on average 75.00 to play east Orange and I was pleased. Playing East Orange with golf pass for 50.00 I’m ecstatic

I love playing at East Orange because:

- I can get a tee time fairly easily

- The course is close to home

- It's not too difficult, not too hard

Only issues:

- The tee boxes are never mowed properly. It's like teeing off from the rough.

- The snack shack at t he turn leaves much to be desired. Poor selection of beverages. The manager is gruff and inconsistent with his prices. The restaurant/bar is great. They should make that the place to go at the turn or start using cart girls/guys.

Very hot and humid, course was in good condition, play was a little slower than I like.

The starter, Fred does a great job of keeping things going smoothly.

First time playing plan on playing again this up coming week

The course is not in any kind of good shape. Not mowed in a long while. Greens slow as molasses what a waste of good money

Staff is rude, didn’t not let us play after having our reservation. Started called me a white boy. Extremely unprofessional
