William F. Larkin Golf Course at Colonial Terrace

It was a perfect round due to the Weather, the company with me and the score. All the Deer around was a Plus. Also it should be noted that there was no Geese poop on the Fairways. The only complaint was that Senior rates have been suspended. Gary Homer

5th time playing the course. When I played before my fee was taken when I booked. This time, when I got to course, payment was due. I reserved $15 dollar tee time and was told when I got to course I had to pay $20. I tried to pay with AMEX, Discover and cash and was told course could only take MC/Visa which I don't carry. Attendant was rude and perfectly happy to turn me away even though I was handing her exact change in cash. Thank goodness patron behind me was willing to pay my way with credit card and take my cash. Sometimes common sense needs to prevail. Attendant should have taken my cash. She was rude and I was charged more than my reservation stated. I won't be back.

This is a short course where more than likely you'll be hitting an 8,9 or PW with your second shot . Most holes you will be able to hit your driver so its an ideal course for working on the short game. Fairways and greens were in great shape. i really liked this place.

Been visiting this local 9-holer for many, MANY years now, and since the township took it over a ways back and with a new course superintendent in house the tee to green conditions are 1000% improved! Worth the $15 to walk it....

This nine hole public course is a well maintained, moderately challenging course a mere 2 miles from Asbury Park, In fact on the 9th hole you can sometimes feel the ocean breezes. It is very reasonable at $20.00! You could hardly buy a bucket of balls for 20 bucks. This course offers a combination of 5, 4 and 3 pars. Give it a try. You will not be disapointed.

20 years ago this course was not much to talk about but wow have they don’t a tremendous job with turning around this hidden gem. I am not a fan of the driving range and walking a round on this course is a much more appealing. If the pace is fair you can finish 9 holes in an hour and a half. The fairways and two-tiered rough are very well maintained. The greens are small and surprisingly fast which offers a nice challenge. It seems like every year the course is better maintained than the year before. The value that one gets for a course right in our backyards can not be understated. Thank you to the staff for their hard work.

Perfect to get out for a couple hours. Not challenging in any sense, you can really screw up some holes and still make par. Recommend.

Great to walk, greens are pretty quick. But for a 9hole course at $16 you cannot beat it!!

First time my wife and I have played course; got paired up with another couple which turned out great; beautiful conditions; not a short 9 holes which was good for the long golfer but good for my wife; we’ll be back

The course was inexpensive and easy to get a tee time through the app. The conditions were mostly good but the burrowing bees on the last half of the holes were very annoying. I felt like we had to worry more about stepping on a tunnel and getting stung then on golfing. I’d recommend the course if they could do something about the bees.

The greens are in excellent shape.

They are rolling beautifully, are challenging, and keep you guessing on your toes.

You have to love tricky greens with some true grain to them.

Rest of the course looks great. Pace of play was exceptional. Staff as friendly and cordial as ever.

It was my second time at this track and it's one of my new favorites even though it's only 9. Tons of fun out here at at Larkin.
