William F. Larkin Golf Course at Colonial Terrace

Good for.a nice walk and a chance to hit a few balls.

Course played well. Fairways were good. Drainage a bit of an issue there were puddles in spots. Tee boxes were choppy but it’s also September. Greens were small, fast and had break. The overall layout is a little tough as tee boxes and greens were a little to close for the level of golfer that golfs this course but that really can’t be changed. Staff was super friendly and courteous. Well worth the money.

Fun golf nice people clean

I’ll always love playing here. Shorter holes so you can really practice your irons, or have some fun being a Superman and try to drive some greens. Pace of play is usually quick but seeing as the course is beginner friendly you might run into some slower new golfers which isn’t too bad with some patience, because we were all new to the sport once PLUS the ranger is always out ensuring steady pace of play. Prices are fair and staff is extremely friendly. Can’t wait to play there again!

Have things gone downhill. I grew up playing this course and for the last 25 years it has been an absolute pleasure to play talk to the staff and get the occasional favor when you need it. Now they are fired all their long-term employees. Everyone is gone. Replaced by volunteers the worst type of people to deal with when you’re paying for something. I played there yesterdayAnd it was the most offputting experience I’ve had as a golfer. Not only did they not allow me to take a card nor did they allow me to finish my round because they said I was the only one there and they wanted to close. Now that the old guard is gone I will never step foot on this course again. Shame on you shame on you a

You hit this course instead of going to a driving range. It’s 9 holes where you can hit every club a good number of times and be.reasonably challenged. I’ve been playing here forever and I have to say one of the best things about it is the friendly people you meet on the course. Remains the best value pound for pound in Monmouth County.

This nine hole Municipal owned course tucked away in Ocean Township, NJ is perfect for the average golfer. The holes aren’t very long but are laid out to present a nice challenge. Most of the greens are on the small side adding to the challenge. They are kept immaculate by the greens keeper. . The course itself is well kept for the most part But a dry summer is affecting the fairways. Lots of crab grass taking hold, should be addressed. The rough is exactly that, rough, adding to the challenge. If they could add a practice putting green , it would make this course perfect. Play nine or go back out for 18, you will not be disappointed by this course. Easy to walk but carts are available.

Friendly place, fun course, clean,great course to sharpen game

The course was getting better and better since the townships takeover. This year it's taken a backwards step.

Not a bad 9 hole course. Good mix of holes. Friendly staff. Not a ton of amenities but I’d recommend if someone is looking to get a quick round in.
