Good course if you can get a hot deal
I enjoyed the course layout and the conditions were solid but no way it is worth the price they are charging. $110 during the week and up to $180 on the weekend is absurd. If you can get a tee time with a hot deal I’d say it’s worth it but if not money can be spent better elsewhere
Outrageous pricing
Who in their right mind decided this course with no range and minimal practice area is worth 167 on the weekends. Pretty nice conditions but no where close to that price tag. Get a grip lol
Spring has sprung
Second time playing here, first time this season.
Played on a Monday, noon tee time, the course was very busy as the parking lot closest to the clubhouse was full.
We teed off on time, got to the 10th tee around 2pm, back nine played slower.
The course was a bit soggy, so it was "cart paths only" all day. Greens were still recovering from aeration, but were rolling ok for the most part. Some bunkers were unplayable, there was casual water here and there. Its still early spring and there has been rain recently, conditions were typical of the season..
Fee was cheaper than I paid late last summer..
Needs Work
I was utterly and shockingly disappointed by this golf course. First of all, if you’re going to charge the 90 dollars to play a round, you better make sure your facilities are up to PAR. The fairways are beat up, the greens are all beat up and it was WET! There is no drainage at all. Playing in the mud! The car path was completely submerged in water on one of the holes and the crew was pumping that water into one of the bunkers. Most of the bunkers are not really bunkers. The greens are fairly challenging and unique. But most importantly, if you’re going to charge that much money to play here make sure the course is ready to play.
Need a Refund
Golf course closed due to weather, no email notification from GolfNow of closure. Called the course for an hour before getting a hold of someone to confirm closure.
Way too expensive for what it is
The course is OK for a public course, but it is extremely overpriced for what it is. If there’s absolutely nothing else available in the area you might consider playing it but you would be better off paying half of what they charge
Plays like a private course
When it’s golf path only, you should walk. Really enjoyed my round here. Good elevation changes, a few blind shots, and nice green complexes.
$189 for this Course is Criminal
There are local public courses significantly better than this place at half the price.
I don’t know who came up with this pricing but this course and its lay out is not worth this much.
Go play any Essex county course and you’ll be more satisfied
If you think eggs are expensive...
Then this isn't your course. The greens fees are not in any way reflective of the course. For over $100+ for 18 holes I expect much more bang for the buck. Until they lose enough casual (non member) players because of that I doubt they will get it together and make the greens fees more in keeping with the level of the course. We won't be back until they get their cost more in line with other, better courses.
An Essex County Gem
Staff and pit crew were exceptionally friendly! Continued support and encouragement. Halfway house conveniently positioned to be accessed before and after the turn to the back-9. Have to appreciate a private course becoming public in that the exclusive nature of and charm are incomparable to a typical muni.
Great place to play
The holes and setup are great. Limited chance to hit into another hole even with them as tight as they are. Great architecture and views. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will certainly play again.
