Challenging
Holes are tough hilly terrain conditions could be a little better but pretty good all around definitely worth playing

Course was great. Course was in great shape and pace of play was fine. Had a group of beginner in front and the ranger allowed us to play through. Had a great round.

Review
5+ hour round, no rangers to move play. Players with zero skill level playing from blue tees… terrible experience
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Terrific Layout
The course was in great shape. Speed of play would be helped if high handicappers would play the new combo tees. The person behind the desk could be friendlier.

Great condition
The course condition was as good or better than I’ve seen it in the last eight years. Got out early and played in under four hours. Beautiful day.

Dump
The staff member at the desk was ver rude, and said that I booked 4 players, and that I did not pay for it. I walked to the car to get my Confirmation to prove that he was wrong. The starter was obnoxious and said that we had to leave after playing 16 Holes, when it was not yet dark outside. We could not finish the round that I paid for.

Another Pleasant Valley Saturday
I play this course often, though I haven’t been able to secure a tee time lately once ready to make next weekend’s plan, due to popularity. Very happy with 3 other random singles who became our 4-some...seldom played here where the other gofers weren’t really good company. No exception. Got in 18 walking in just over 4 hours. Never held up. Course very green, well kept. Greens tough but fair. My only wish is that the concessions at halfway house and pro shop would return. Only vending machines. Those employees are part of the extended family I miss from “old days”.

Best of the Essex County courses
Management has finally figured out how to speed up the pace of play by starting groups off of the back nine. It is a huge improvement! Rounds used to take 5+ hours, and now are 4 to 4+ hours. Also, the small changes to the green on #2, the fairway on #13, as well as clearing out numerous bushes/trees has greatly improved the experience.

Poor management, as usual
Every time I come here it’s something else. As usual, pace of play was horrendous. The group in front of us had THREE holes open in front of them for most of the round. The ranger drove by and they had a great conversation about the weather, literally. It’s just incredible how poorly run this place is.

Very Slow and unfriendly Club house
Waited at least 5 mins at every tee box. Almost 3 hours to play 9 holes.
Guy in the club house was a complete tool. Rolled his eyes when asked if I could pay for my tee time 2 mins before the time I booked (you have to wait until you are called in). Long story short got out late and never finished the full 18 because of pace of play and a tool bag worker in the clubhouse. Who pooped in your cereal? You work at a golf course- lighten up buddy.
