Miserable pro shop
I’ve never felt so unwelcome at a golf course than this. Pro shop staff rude and argumentative. Not even a single new ball to buy and the rental set was incomplete and made up of clubs they found on the course. The course itself is interesting and reasonably maintained but need sand on the carts to fill fairway divots. I’ve played two courses own by Essex county and I’ll never play this one again.

All good except nasty man at pro shop...charged my card twice and make it sound like it was my fault...

It’s good!
It’s a good layout, take a golf cart as it is a very hilly golf course.

Not worth the money
I could have saved money and played at a much better place.

Awful Staff & Course Play
Went for a tee time and asked if my caddy was okay to stay.
Was allowed a cart and told we were good to go start on 10.
I tee off and then get yelled by a staff member for not joining the group that was in front of me despite just following what we were told.
We were then told that we were okay after the staff realized it was a random group of 3 in front and there wasn’t going to be a problem of pace on our end.
Minutes later another grumpy old staff member rides out to us and yells at me and my caddy that he didn’t pay/sign any waiver (which doesn’t exist).
Eventually I ask if he can just pay and not play to where the member remains difficult.
We left immediately because I was not going to leave my caddy in the car for 17 more holes
No refund
Sad to see the older crowd follow snobotorium etiquette especially against amateurs.
