Mountain View Golf Course

Mountain View is a really good county run course with a fun collection of holes. They are spacing things out for COVID nicely. It's a mature tree lined course but you can spray it some on a few holes. The first 2 holes are par 5s and for the longer hitter makes for real solid birdie attempts. The round closes on 2 longer par 4s which are tough pars to make. The concessions are good and the cart girl is around often. I've played twice here recently and enjoyed it both times very much.

Course is in good shape and pretty open, so very playable - only issue is the side sloped fairways that push everything into the high rough. You can hit one right down the middle and end up with a really tough lie in heavy rough ?

The course conditions were really nice, considering I’ve been playing many different places that have been well below average - rough was ridiculously high / keep it in the fairway.

I played this course the other day with three friends and we had a great time. Course was in good shape, and the layout was unique and kept me guessing as a first time player of the course. My only issues with the course was the price, the starter, and this weird rule they have about carts. While the course was nice, I think $60 was a bit steep for what you get out there. Also, the course has a strange rule where they request all of the carts to be returned to clubhouse by 7:20pm, even though this time of year it stays light out until around 8:00. This just created problems for us (and i'm sure everyone else) when we were standing on the 13th tee and the starter asked us to drive the carts back to clubhouse and walk all the way back to the 13th tee box. The starter/ranger certainly could have been a bit nicer and less arrogant during this process as well. Not really sure why they would sell golfers 18 holes with a cart when they know you won't be able to finish the round with they cart you just paid for. Or why they wouldn't just let you return the cart when your round finishes... All in all, a fun course and a positive experience

I would like to start by saying that I’m relatively new to golf, but have developed a sincere interest in the game. This was my first visit to Mountain View, so I was excited to play the course. I came with 2 friends who play often, and we were paired with a fourth who was a regular at the course. We played one hole, and were met by the ranger who informed us that we should pick up and move on. We were on the 1st hole! We complied and said we would play on pace - not sure why we were warned at that point already - but were then stopped again before the 4th hole and told to pickup and move to the next hole. At no point was the group behind us waiting to start, so we are all still confused as to why we were pushed twice before the 4th hole. No one in the group wanted to have any issues so we said we would just like to leave and get our $$ refunded. I am a 40+ year old man who took a day off to play golf and I wasn’t able to get 4 holes in. The ranger was not courteous in any way, and the manger seemed to not want to look into it. I have never had an experience this odd or distasteful, and it goes without saying that I will never return, nor recommend this course to anyone. I will not let this experience ruin my love for golf, 100% disappointed.

The course was in good condition, the greens were smooth rolling but not too fast, but the design of the holes was boring overall. Limited fairway bunkers, and some similar hole designs stand out for me. One feature I did not like was holes that turn one direction with fairways that run with fairways that slope the other way.

The course is in nice shape, but not enough sand in the traps. The bases of the traps were hard pan, so it was difficult to get the ball out correctly. Really slow foursome in front of us, and the ranger apparently did not care.

First time playing this course this year.

Overall, a really great course that I hope to get back to soon. This course is mostly open but with plenty of challenges including slopes and hills throughout. It is also very well kept; the round I played was just after significant rain and the course was still in very good shape. I definitely recommend this as one of the better courses in Mercer County that I've experienced.

Have played the other Mercer courses, Mercer Oaks, and told by players there to try Mountain View. Finally got the day and tee time, and happy I made the ride to play. Easy walking course, was in good shape, lots of sloping fairways and side-hill 2nd shots, and quite a few downhill putts on the front 9. Would play again and recommend.

challenging yet open. Tee boxes very nice, fairways pretty plush and greens fast and challenging. Staff is very polite and restaurant has good food. Can't ask for much more than that.
