Mountain View Golf Course

Great course, great conditions too. However this round did not include a cart, which the course nails you for another $16 + 52.99 . Not a walking course either. The only course that gets for additional cart fees. It’s a combo golf now and Mercer county thing.

First time playing this course and it wasn’t manicured correctly. It’s like the grounds staff quit. You couldn’t find your ball because of the high grass everywhere. I didn’t enjoy my round yesterday at all because of the high grass and super slow play.

MV is a great public course, 90% of the time its in fantastic shape. Majority of the staff is grumpy as hel. They dont really stay on golfers to keep pace, especially at the end of the day. The cigar selection in the pro shop is terrible, their all dried out and stall or just plain bad, pleaee get new ones! Other than that i love this course.

This was the second time I played Mountain View. The course has managed the summer heat wave well. Greens were cut this morning. The were in good shape and rolled true. Fairways were in good shape. The ruff was also cut this morning… but wow they were long. (I believe the course is being prepped for a tournament this weekend.). Wow were they unforgiving. It was really fun to play, but be warned, if you miss the fairway watch where your ball ends up, and take your medicine lol. Expect to club up, or just punch out into the fairway! Good luck. I’ll be playing here again for sure.

We were a twosome paired with a different twosome. We arrived to the first tee 3 minutes beforehand and the the starter sent the other 2 off early. He came back to the first teebox (we were completely ready to hit) and he had a meltdown and said were late and now we might not be able to get out and play (even after paying). Had to wait 20 minutes and then they said we can start on the back 9. When we came back to front 9 they had 3 novices on hole one who took 25+ minutes per hole, just standing there talking on the teeboxes fairways and greens while we all waited behind them (4+ groups). Starter came around and we asked him if he could ask them to speed up and he refused to do so and said its our own fault. Refused to help us speed up pace. Would not let us play through. Just completely inconsiderate starters. They werent even wearing proper golf attire. Complete disregard for all other people waiting behind them. worth the money whatsoever.

To summarize, horrid staff create a horrid environment. Not worth the money whatsoever.

This is a very nice course, with slope being the biggest challenge. The women's tees are in bad shape, but the rest of the course is great. If you're a Mercer County resident or 62 or older you get great opportunities for discounts, but if not, it's a little pricey!

Nice track, good pace of play, great conditions for this year.

Mountain View is in great shape, except the women’s tee boxes, which are a mess. Other than that, the course is great. Super nice staff, pace was surprisingly good for a public course!, and the holes are challenging but not too hard. Hills affect several holes, and there’s just a little water. Great course!

Would love to give the course 5 stars across the board, but I can't in good conscious. When I checked in I was told what time the carts needed to be in..... starter comes out and tells us that time I was told was 15 minutes earlier than what I was quoted in the clubhouse. Not a big deal, we were on 17 with 15 minutes allegedly to go. But they threw on the sprinklers before the starter even came out to talk to us. This was the last thing we needed since the group behind us had been driving into us all day. And like clockwork on 18th the guys missed hitting me by about 2 yards and 6 yards respectively on my approach shot. We had their drives buzz the tower probably about 5 times on the back 9 alone, no yelling of fore, no sorry. And I told the starter when he informed us they were shutting down of this, and he seemed to blow it off as if this was acceptable practice. Luckily I played with 3 very nice guys, but damm did everyone else try to set me off.
