Sierra Del Rio GC
Sierra Del Rio was on my list of courses to play when I was planning this golf trip to New Mexico. It was a good choice.
Dave in the pro shop had me in a cart & out to the first tee in a timely fashion.
There is a nice variety of holes here, a couple of risk reward holes that are going to tempt your confidence, a few elevation changes that allow you grip it and rip it, doglegs left and right, generous fairways, the bunkers are well placed but some were in need of a little attention. The greens were holding approaches nicely, putts rolled consistent and good reads are rewarded. Holes 14, 15, 16 and 17 are standouts.
Off season conditioning was expected but it didn't affect my play or my impression of the course. Visitors would have little reason to be disappointed playing Sierra Del Rio.
An inviting clubhouse, good menu, huge patio and well stocked pro shop to round things out.

Change your Latitude
An Oasis in the desert. A must play when in New Mexico.
Great Course
Sierra Del Rio was a great track from tee to green, solid fairways and awesome greens that held and read true for putts, will be back to this course
Very nice
The staff was very friendly and the coarse was in excellent condition... and very challenging from the blues. I will play here again!
Ps bring plenty of ball as it's very tight
Love this course, great facility
Friends and I played, had a great time. The course is in great shape - kudos to the staff. Beautiful setting, property worth checking out. Enjoyed - highly recommend checking this place out.
Love this course
Have played this course quite a few times and it's always in great shape. We played 18 in 3 1/2 hours and the greens were in great shape. It truly is one of the best courses in New Mexico.
Fast nine slow nine.
Very nice round with the exception of them letting 2 slow foursomes tee off on the back nine right in front of us when the course was nearly empty.
go out of your way for this coarse...
This golf coarse has every challenge, all the views and will test your abilities no matter what your handicap is. Your expectations will be fulfilled, and you will return with friends. It is a beautiful well maintained and well thought out coarse.
What a hidden Jem
Course is challenging. Greens and fairways were in great shape. Staff was exceptionally helpful. 30 bucks on a weekend through golf now; what a steal.
The course was much more than we expected.
My wife and I played the first week of November, 2012, and the weather was great. The trees in the valley were changing color, which added to the experience. The course was very well maintained, with the fairways and greens being in great shape. You had to hit the fairway to have any chance to make par, as you were in the desert otherwise. The architect took great advantage of the terrain with holes both up and down hill, and around the corner on one. We have added it to our list of places to play when we are in New Mexico.
