Beekman Country Club - Valley/Taconic
About
The 27 holes at Beekman Country Club enjoy a serene mountain setting nestled within the foothills of the Berkshires, just as they rise from the Hudson Valley. The golf course is divided into three nines: the Valley, Taconic, and Highland; that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Valley/Taconic course offers both scenery and challenges. The Valley nine tumbles across rolling terrain and its sixth hole is home to one of the country's largest oak trees. The Taconic nine is the most difficult of the three. It is just as scenic as the other two nines but you can't let that distract you. Accuracy is needed to maneuver the tight fairways. There are also several tricky water hazards throughout the golf course, most notably protecting the front of the green on Taconic's sixth hole.

Awesome! As usual!
Love the course! Conveniently located! Great conditions and a friendly staff!
Enjoyable round
Course is in the best condition I've seen it and the greens are running true and faster than in the past which is good. Got a few sprinkles, but nothing heavy.
WOW
This course is in the best condition that I’ve ever seen, the greens are in perfect condition.
Great course
Very well kept. Greens in exc cond. sand traps groomed Water and bathrooms avail and well kept. Friendly and flexible staff except for one kind of grumpy starter. Nice Bar and very good food! VERY AFFORDABLE!
Slow play
4.5 hours on a Tuesday is unacceptable in my opinion
Nice Course
We had an enjoyable round except for a slow up in pace after 4 holes. The group in front of us notified the starter and the pace picked up. On the back 9 we never never waited to hit.
The course has nice views.
Very nice golf course....
Good day of golf....pace of play was slow on front side due to closure of one of three nine hole layouts....picked up greatly on back side....
Otherwise.....good place to play.....I will be back....staff was great....Thank you....
Sunny Day
Surprise no one in front of us. Rough was longer than usual because of rain.
Solid but unspectacular
I booked my time for under $20 on a day with rain in the forecast and got lucky when the weather held. This is the place I imagine when I think of an 'average' golf course - moderate length, mostly fair holes, minimal water, and all-around decent, uninspiring conditions.
Golf is always fun, and for as little as I paid there's no complaining. Still, I think recent reviews have been a bit too generous.
The Rough is ROUGH!!
Very good course with three sets of nine. Each combination offers different challenges. The greens are in great shape and read and roll well and true. Have played there very often these past several years. The personnel at the course are very nice people. Very personable!!
Weather the past few days has prevented cutting the rough so be prepared to do a bit of searching if you lose the fairway! The ball sits down in the high rough and is difficult to locate.
That said, it's my fault the ball is in there. I the guy who missed the shortgrass!
All in all, a great place to play. You'll enjoy it.
Nice to play after cold & rain
The course is getting ready.. lots of grass to get into playing shape.. especially the rough which was thick. I enjoyed finally getting out and it was great.
