Crab Meadow Golf Course

This is a favorite, with diverse, interesting holes and beautiful views. Unfortunately due to vandalism they have three temporary greens. The damaged greens are looking good so they may be back in play soon.

Pretty course greens a little slow and bumpy and why don’t golfers repair their ball marks on greens I would definitely play it again the gps carts are terrible they slow the pace of play down overall a real nice track

Granted we played an afternoon round, but the greens were in really bad condition. Several unrepaired divot holes and very bumpy all around. Didn't seem like they were cut recently. The fairways were in good condition and the overall layout was nice.

The course itself was in very good condition. The greens are small, which makes for a more challenging game. My two complaints were the cart paths were in terrible condition. Tree roots growing up from underneath made for a very bumpy ride. Also, a lot of the cart paths are dirt and rocks. My other complaint was that there were no cart girls on the course. It was a Saturday and it was Hot!. There should have been a cart girl working. I would have given a higher rating if there was a cart beverage attendant.

course was in great condition; carts equipped with gps which helped club selection; completed in 5 hours even though we had to wait on all holes 10 - 18 for slower players; small greens very challenging

Greens played slower than it looked....sneaky pin positions so make sure your putting game is on!!

Having a GPS system on the cart is a great idea. Except for this place. it is constantly slowing the cart to a crawl when you go somewhere they do not want you to. a good idea except when your in the middle of the fairway or the cart path. today it totally shut down and we had to push the cart until started working again. This is no longer one of my favorite places to play.

Course was in nice condition. Greens were well kept

First time playing. Nice course with a fair challenging layout. Good set up with lots of variation between holes. Greens were a little slow but consistent. Will definetly add this course into the rotation.

Course layout and condition was pretty good. Only green condition was not good because there were many ball marks. Overall experience was pretty good.

I grew up playing Crab Meadow. My first rounds there were back in the 1970's. The original course was well designed back in the 1921 by world-renowned golf architect Devereux Emmet. It is challenging and has some fantastic views. I was, however, very disappointed in the way the greens have shrunken over the decades. This happens a lot on golf courses (google "shrinking golf greens" for more information on the subject). And although the greens were rather slow, this did not bother me as much as the overall reduction in their size. Perhaps this problem will be addressed. I hope so, for the course would be a gem if the greens were restored to their original shape and contour.

I have played Crab Meadow before and am looking to returning very soon with the Guys in my Golf Club. I have enjoyed the course every time I played it. The course was in excellent condition and is challenging and fair. The greens rolled true and were at a good speed. Pace of play was excellent for a Sunday, took 4 hrs and 15 minutes. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Well worth the price. I love this course! Try it and you will like it too!
