About
The Golf Club at Middle Bay is located on Long Island's south shore overlooking the barrier islands of Jones Beach, Point Lookout, and Lido Beach. Nearly every hole looks out across water. Though the golf course is just an hour outside of New York City, you'll feel as though you've been whisked off to an out-of-town resort. The layout has a challenging design that will test your accuracy with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wind will also be a factor on this golf course. The Golf Club at Middle Bay is a tough but fair layout that players of all skill levels will enjoy. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range available.

Public course with still private club feels
4 hrs and 10 mins at noon on a Sunday in Long Island. $87 with a cart, quick greens what else can you say. Haven’t played a public good track on a weekend in a long time in under 4 and a half hours.

We were let out early. Even though there were brief delays, it was nothing major. Course was in very good shape considering the dry summer we had and the employees were all extremely friendly. Only my second time here , my first being last year. Definitely not my last

Nice course
Course was nice, had great layout and atmosphere. Putting greens were well kept. Main issue was geese everywhere on the course and every hole was covered in geese poop.

Quality conditions , good layout , tight fairways and small, well protected, fast, undulating greens make this a most challenging course. We played on a beautiful, calm day, but heard stories about the wind. I have no doubts about that considering this is a South shore track located on the water

Great Track
A challenge for any golfer. Some of the holes are absolutely beautiful along the water. I would abolsarles recommend!

Some nice holes along the water. Wind is always challenging. Course has some nice doglegs and makes you use every club in the bag. Greens were in good shape, some fairways had some rough patches but conditions are dry so that is to be expected. Hole 9 plays next to driving range so keep your eyes open. Course is very walkable. Course is not easy, it is relatively long from middle tees, couple that with wind off the water, narrow fairways on some holes, and doglegs the course is a test.

Did Covid get the rangers!
Course was in good shape but 75 bucks to play 12 holes in 3.5 hours is just no fun.Waited on every shot. No rangers doing anything. My group played the back tees and could barely reach the fairways. Having 300 yards to go on a par 4 on your second shot can’t be fun. Overpriced. Would only go back if other courses are aerating.

Home course
I live 40 plus minutes but it’s still my home course. Always in great shape and $75 with cart is a steal in NY. Nothing better for the price.
I can’t let this go without a comment. All the courses at Bethpage are in better shape than Middle Bay. Plus, as a senior, I play for 48 dollars, cart included. If I walked in off the street it would be 43 dollars. Longest round I played there this year on the Red, Green, and yellow is 4.5 hours. If 75 dollars is a steal in NY what is 48 bucks with courses that are in better shape. Plus the off course amenities stink at Middle Bay. Every year I ask when the clubhouse is gonna be finished, they tell me a month….never a year!

Range balls,safety
Holes next to golf range have an abundance of range balls all over the place, makes it very difficult to find your ball and dangerous, almost got hit by one. . Why isn't there a netted fence to prevent and protect,?
