About
The Golf Club at Middle Bay is located on Long Island's south shore overlooking the barrier islands of Jones Beach, Point Lookout, and Lido Beach. Nearly every hole looks out across water. Though the golf course is just an hour outside of New York City, you'll feel as though you've been whisked off to an out-of-town resort. The layout has a challenging design that will test your accuracy with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wind will also be a factor on this golf course. The Golf Club at Middle Bay is a tough but fair layout that players of all skill levels will enjoy. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range available.

Coming along nicely
They lit some cash into the course. New carts with gps, new car paths. Redoing the fairways (car path only when played) always a challenging course especially when windy.

Great potential
Course has incredible potential if they put a little more effort into maintenance. They desperately need to resolve drainage issues. Water and mud everywhere on the fairways, to the point that many of the fairways are roped off. Simple things like cleaning the tee box areas (weeds, broken ball washers, no replacement soil for divots, etc). Absolutely no amenities, no club house, no alcohol sold (except for the beverage cart), Course does have a good layout, beautiful view along the water, and is somewhat challenging.

Handicap accessibility
This is a great course but with one shortcoming, and that is being handicap friendly. I am in my 80’s and find that with the GPS system on the carts I cannot get close enough to the greens and have limited access to a free other portions of the course.
Great Course
I love this course and cannot recommend it enough. It’s a fabulous setting and layout. When the clubhouse is rebuilt it will be one the premier courses in the area. Staff are super nice and pace of play is awesome.

Challenging holes with wind off the bay. Course has been in great shape for all of 2021.

Best hide away in Nassau County
I live very close to this course but that’s not why I’m reviewing it ! On any given day each hole can play dramatically different depending on the wind coming off the great South Bay! The staff is very accommodating and the course is impeccable. Greens roll very true and the fairways are tight . Would recommend to anyone who loves a Diamond in the rough !
