About
The Golf Club at Middle Bay is located on Long Island's south shore overlooking the barrier islands of Jones Beach, Point Lookout, and Lido Beach. Nearly every hole looks out across water. Though the golf course is just an hour outside of New York City, you'll feel as though you've been whisked off to an out-of-town resort. The layout has a challenging design that will test your accuracy with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wind will also be a factor on this golf course. The Golf Club at Middle Bay is a tough but fair layout that players of all skill levels will enjoy. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range available.

Asked to write a review from GN.
We drove 2 1/2 hours to get to this course and was never notified by GN that the course was closed due to rain. No contact info for refund from GN.
rude staff (old man ranger)
one of staff keep following us pushing to play faster and faster!! my 4 some was playing thru 18 hole in about 4 hours with normal pace.
the old man was extremely rude. I used to love this course for many years but will never play here again.

Fun course to play and score
It’s a very nice course to play important to have a good start from tees to have a chance to score, wind into play.
All the staff are amazing super friendly.

Beautiful course. Greens in great shape.
Course was great with friendly staff and course is run very well. $75 to play with a cart is just a bit overpriced but overall a great course.

Update review
I reviewed a few weeks ago and played again today. Great conditions. The drainage problems are still not solved but it is great to see the course has been seeded in the low spots and there was no standing water where last time there were several wet areas. Course was played in just over four hours. Don’t miss the fairways as the rough is very thick and tough to hit out of.

A Great Golfing Experience
It pays to book a reservation when the weather forecast is not good because it scares people away, leading to the private club experience I had yesterday at Middle Bay. They already treat you like a member and then add having no one behind or in front of you and you get a rare 4 hour round. The course was in outstanding condition considering the 9 inches of rain from Henri.

3 hrs Fastest round ever
I arrived at the course, noticed a bag drop off area and a good size parking lot overlooking a scenic waterfront. there are uniformed people helping with golf bags, loading on golf carts, sort of a country club feel for a public course. They have a driving range, practice green and pitching area, great warm up for early arrivals.
The course is a links type with amazing waterfront views, great layout and quite challenging. The weather was a hot 90+ day, windy and may have been too much for some, however it worked out for us. We had no players in front, or behind us for the front nine, the back moved along nicely, finished in 3 hrs . I confess that the water holes in play and the wind cost us several balls, bring extra balls. Also the finishing hole, a par 5 double dog leg, water in play both sides of the fairway and into the wind, great finishing hole.

This was my very first time playing here. staffs are well trained. But the layout and condition of the course were awful. There were tons of balls from the 9th hole on the fairway. I believe it must be coming from the practice range right next to the hole where there was no fence. Looked very dangerous. Not coming back.
