About
The Golf Club at Middle Bay is located on Long Island's south shore overlooking the barrier islands of Jones Beach, Point Lookout, and Lido Beach. Nearly every hole looks out across water. Though the golf course is just an hour outside of New York City, you'll feel as though you've been whisked off to an out-of-town resort. The layout has a challenging design that will test your accuracy with tree-lined fairways and strategically placed bunkers. Wind will also be a factor on this golf course. The Golf Club at Middle Bay is a tough but fair layout that players of all skill levels will enjoy. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range available.

Country Club Golf on a Public Course
I say this every time. It also comes closest to Florida golf without the Bermuda grass. The fast tricky greens are offset by the manageable cut rough.
Country Club Experience
The greens are very fast. Some of the pin placements would have challenged the pros. But it was, as always, a Country Club experience on a public course.

Golf cart
Golf cart had way too many interruptions from alerts and advertisements - and blocking access to map and yardage. Touch screen slow to respond at times.

Another Country Club Experience
I am striving to get my level of play up to the standards of this great track. Fairways and greens were hard and fast. It took a few holes to adjust.

Pleasant surprise
My friend and I were looking for a course to play on our way to Bethpage. We picked Middle Bay and were happy we did. A solid golf course with tremendous bay views and just enough wind to make it interesting. We also used their golf boards which cost the same as a cart, which added to the experience, as we had never ridden them before. Five stars for everything there!

I play this course a few times a week. Drainage can be an issue as some of the holes are below sea level. The greens play true and are well maintained. Thankfully, there's a ranger present on weekends and some weekdays to keep play moving. Rounds seem to average in the 4-4:20 range as a result. Not bad for a public course that gets a ton of play.

Course Conditions
It’s a Great course for as long as I can remember playing for the last decade. The greens have always been very good but this year they have gone down hill a lot they are chopped up and the Holes are not maintained. These holes should be reset every day or at least every other day with the amount of play this course receives.
