ugh!
without a doubt the worst course in western ny. poorly maintained, just seems they do not care.
DUMP
Previous reveiwers must be staff. As a former member when it was private OCC has declined. Tees are mostly crabgrass and clover, no sand mix, that are only cut once a week. Bunkers have crabgrass growing in and around edges. Fairways have been narrowed by 5 to 15 yards, fairways are cut once a week. You will get flyer lies in the fairways. If this is your what you are looking for, then this is perfect. Should change the name to Ontario Muni. Go to Wayne Hills for great golfing experience.
DUMP
Stay away. Poorly maintained. tees uncut, bunkers have weeds going in and around edges. greens slow and bumpy. can not tell the difference between fairways and rough.pro shop is a mess. poor service in the bar.
won't be going back!
Challenging Greens
Considering the drought we have been in for the last two months, this course was in outstanding condition. The tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. The greens were immaculate, and quite challenging. All for the reasonable price of $35.00, for 18 and a cart.
Very friendly staff
Jim in the pro shop was very friendly and helpful.
The course was in OK condition. The center of many of the fairways was bare.
The greens were in good condition.
I played the Senior Tees, which were very fair for us older golfers.
Very poor
The fairways tees and greens show neglect. From what was a very good course now is a ghost of its former self.
Not worth aging until major changes to course condition occur.
Nice track
The course has a great layout but the condition was disappointing. They had a drainage project earlier this year and the fairways have not recovered and are spotty and greens are slow. Overall though, can't complain given the Golfnow rate of $14.
Great layout
Course has a great layout. The course was not in the best of shape because of all the rain this year. Fairways had many dead spots.
Good value
Burn marks all over the fairway from lack of rain. Greens were cut long. Couldn't beat $14 from golfnow!
Good course
Overall good experience. Course was in very good shape. Greens in excellent shape. Little slow the day I played.
not worth money
greens are slow and the worst I've ever seen on this course.poor mowing of ruff.place is awful compared to previous yrs.not worth 40 plus dollars, maybe 25 at best.and play is so slow its ridiculous.no cart girls.awefull
Good mature track
Played this track on golf trip to Rochester... About 30 min from downtown but worth the drive at the price.... Great layout and design... Classic parkland track... Only drawback, and probably because of recent rains, rough was shaggy and balls just off fairway were very hard to find.... Will play again.
Outstanding value for well groomed course.
My buddy and I played this course on a picture perfect Autumn day. Course was in great shape, very picturesque and challenging. It would be very tough from back tees.Had light dinner afterwards in grille room and it was very good. We will definitely go back.
Not coming back
Over 5 hour round because no Marshall out getting people to play at a good pace. Called club house but nobody would answer. Groups were jumping ahead of us and others because of the slow pace.
Heard a huge arguement on the course with swearing and threats . Not good
This course has improve a lot
Course in good shape. They put more sand in bunkers . good layout . It is very good price to play there . Will play many times
Too Booked
Went to the course, on Friday Afternoon-should have turned around after seeing the parking lot FULL! Golfed 12 holes-had to wait at least 10 minutes between holes. Do not know if there was a gridlock, but the foursome two holes ahead was slow and slower!!!!
This is a beautiful course
I like the scenic aspect of the course. It is not exceedingly difficult but you can get in trouble if you are not careful. The green was a little slow today and we played around midday. It did not look like it was cut or mowed in the morning. All in all, we had fun with the round and would recommend it.
Excellent course!
The course was in great shape, especially the greens.
Away too long from this course
Was pleasantly surprised on the conditions, given the large amount of rain we've had recently. Pretty dry, with some fairway roll. Pro shop staff great, and was even able to get us off 15 min earlier than we booked it at. Only suggestion would be to add more speed to the greens. Otherwise, keep up the great work.
The Brookwoods
The Brookwoods was a great value and my wife and I had a great time there.
