Great golf course
Amazing golf course. Plus, Dusty working the club house was great. Awesome time as always on the course and it is in beautiful condition.
What a Gem
A friend originally from the Rochester area recommended this course while I was on a quick business trip in the area. As a single, I called the day before and they offered me choices to head out early by myself or join a group. I played alone, and was behind a twosome, but decided not to play through and enjoy my round. I still finished in under 3 hours. Spectacular track, superb conditions, only advice I had was that they could have charged me twice the amount and I still would have been impressed with the value.
Very well kept, and managed. Pace of play was dealt with well. Starter was very friendly
Course was in great shape when played here. very nice greens and nice views atop some of the tee boxes. All the staff was very friendly as well.
First time at this course. Very nice Fairways and Greens. not to challenging. All the staff members were very friendly.
I can only say, we will be back soon, condition and layout are better than most private clubs. Visually stunning when standing on most if not all tee boxes. Just a great place, get out here if you can, drive 2 or 3 hours, its worth it.
Beautiful, challenging course!
We took our son and his girlfriend to play 18 at The Links at Greystone and had the best experience. From the moment we walked in the pro shop to the waiter at dinner after golf- everyone was welcoming and smiling. You could tell the workers love to work there. The course is so beautiful and fun to play! It was so economical and we found out they have an awesome deal for 9 and dine on the weekends. We look forward to going back and doing that. The food was AMAZING at their Stoney’s Pub. We all loved our food selections! You must try this place. A total hidden gem!
Played with my wife, daughter and future son in law and absolutely loved the course, the conditions and the staff was super friendly.
Will be back soon, we are from about an hour and 15 minutes away in Baldwinsville.
Best of the best!
Love this place! Play it every week and the conditions are always at a premium! Different pin locations can really make a huge difference on the difficulty of a hole which I like! Friendly staff, and the clubhouse has great food!
Uneven Lies does not lead to Uneven fun
I grew up in Rochester, NY but didn't find my love of golf till I moved west. Every time I visit home (at least when the weather is nice) I try and get out to The Links at Greystone as I know it will be a true test of where my game is at.
If you can get it off the tee (and put it where you need to go) you have opportunities to make par / score. However if you miss it in certain areas be prepared to look for your ball in heavy rough and native areas. If you do mishit a ball and are able to find it, be prepared to play with some uneven lies. The undulation through out LaG is real and you will need to know how to hit the ball above and below your feet. It's a challenging course and makes you take into account all factors (weather, distance, slope, etc) and is not the course that you can overpower but more so have to respect to score well.
The overall shape of the course was great and the views can not be beat. They are also clearing some areas to which I think opens the golf course a bit more, which I enjoy more so than tight alley way courses.
If you're a golfer who cares about a challenge and challenging his or her game, this is a course I would recommend.
Top Course in Rochester
I’ve been playing golfing in Western NY for 30+ years and I can say without a doubt this is the best course in the area. Unique layout, immaculately kept, and picturesque views at every turn. I played this past week after some heavy spring rain and the course had drained really well compared to another course I played recently.
10 out of 10.
Great course, poor pace
This is one of the premier golf courses in the Rochester area. I brought out of town guests on a Friday afternoon and was VERY disappointed in that it took 5 hours to play. I called the clubhouse when there were 3 4somes waiting to tee off on the back 9 and things never improved. While longer than any round of golf in recent memory, we had a great day to play and made the most of our time, talking to the groups in front of and behind us throughout the round.
First time playing The Links at Greystone. The greens were a blast to play. The fairways were in good shape. It was so beautiful all around the course I will be back and hope to play it a few times each year. The staff was very kind and friendly!!
Greystone 5 stars
Course was in great shape and was well maintained. Greens were fantastic. Staff is great and accommodating. Overall 5 stars.
The course was in wonderful shape. Cart’s were clean and ran smooth. The grounds were beautiful with flowers and plantings everywhere.
Saw a lot of grounds people doing a great job fixing and touching up the place. Greens were in great shape even if I didn’t play them well.
The staff was friendly, helpful and considerate.
Best public course in the area
The condition and layout is spectacular. The greens are fast as lightning but true. This is an awesome course to play.
As good as it gets
Always liked this course, one of two top courses in greater Rochester. Played today and conditions are as good as it gets. Fairways, bunkers, greens comparable to private country clubs. Kudos to the pro, grounds crew and all!
Fun course to play!
We had an overall.great experience! The course is in excellent condition and the staff was outstanding!! The grounds are beautifully landscaped! We definitely will be back!
Great course, fabulous staff, and terrific course conditions. Would recommend to anyone.
