Great course with great views of the city
I was in town for the weekend and got to play this course. Even though they had a tournament starting around noon, the staff was very accommodating. Everyone was very nice. Everything from fairways to greens and everything in between are in great condition. Greens rolled great.
If you’re in the area this course is a must!! Thank you guys at Forest Park!! Will be back
Good Shape
I play in a tournament at Forest Park every September. Considering it is a pubic muni and the amount of play this course gets, it is always in surprising good shape.
Good Shape
Course was in good shape, Greens are a little rough with Ball Mark's .... Overall very pleased and will play plenty more times
Pace of play
3 hours for 9 holes, and we had to skip one because a foursome was giving lessons to each other in the course? Come on. There needs to be a Marshall tracking play and preventing this stuff from happening.
Week Day Evening
Always fun to play here. Decent public course. Greens could use a bit of work. I think they are pretty soft, which is leave crater divots. Playing after work on a week day is nice, they had the tee times stacked, but rate of play was actually pretty good. All in all, pretty happy.
Great time
For the amount of play this course gets It’s in great shape. Hats off to the grounds crew. So fun to play golf in an urban park and watch all the other things going on while waiting to shoot. Will definitely come back
Slow play
The slow play and lack of monitoring by staff makes this course unplayable on a weekend. Regardless of what openings are shown on this app the course is always jam packed. Clubhouse sends out groups and does not monitor when they tee off, what the group looks like 1,24,5 whateversome, and no checking to see if people are keeping up. 3 hours in and quit on 10th hole. It is disappointing because I like the course in beautiful forest park. My suggestion is to wait until your next tournament out there and avoid it for normal play.
Fun 9, pretty easy course
The course is in good shape, we had fun and it’s wide open. I’d recommend to anyone looking to get a low score
Unique Golfing Experience
It’s been several years since played Forest Park.....what a unique experience playing on a golf course in the middle of a metropolitan city. The course meanders thru St Louis’s most beautiful Park surrounded by historic Worlds Fair structures, Art Museum and walking/jogging trails populated with Washington University students. The course was in very good condition and very enjoyable to play.
Rained the night before, so cart path only. Even so, the tee boxes are all in good condition, good layout and no issues with pace of play. Good value overall.
Great location.
The course is in a really great location. Got a lot of people walking and running around the park. Lots to look at in the park. You can see some of the museums as you play. Course is pretty standard but hilly on dogwood and redbud. Greens were pretty bad but it’s still the beginning of the season.
Interesting Layout
Played early Sunday with my daughter on Redbud/Dogwood routing. The Rebud was the more interesting of the two with some cool holes with elevation changes. The Dogwood was the flatter of the two and wove through marshes and grasses. Zoysia fairways were a plus. Rough was sporadic with multiple types of grass. Greens were fairly slow with numerous ball marks (an expected mini trait
