The Wigwam Arizona
About The Wigwam Arizona
Located in the West Valley near Phoenix-Scottsdale is one of Arizona's most historic golf resorts, Wigwam. Set on 440 acres, this village-style resort features three 18-hole golf courses, including two designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., most notably the famous Gold Course. The resort features 331 casitas and suites with large private patios and several resort pools, including a new 25-foot water slide tower. The resort-style golf courses are more parkland in nature than surrounding desert courses and feature palm trees and water hazards sprinkled throughout. There are four dining concepts, led by the signature Litchfield's Restaurant serving local farm-to-table cuisine, while there is Red's Bar & Grill for casual fare and the Wigwam Bar, which is the social epicenter of the resort. Recreation outside of the 54 holes of golf is nine lighted tennis course and two regulation bocce-ball courts, sand volleyball, bike rentals and yard games.Facts

Not poor not exceptional red course
Don't play red. Ourse average. The other 2 courses looked amazing
Wigwam course
A true test of your golf game both physically and mentally. Knowing what side of the green to miss on is very important. The times I was on the short side or downhill led to less than good scores.
The Wigwam Golf Course
Nearly all good except for the sand traps. I’ve never seen them so nasty. Hard packed wet sand that was difficult to even dent! Did they cut back maintenance on the Gold Course because they had college golf events on the Blue and Red Courses?! Whatever the reason, not worth the $225.00. Oh and we waited on nearly every shot on every hole. 11:40am tee time. Kind of takes some enjoyment out of the game. Do better or drop your green fees significantly. :-(
Great course
The red course is a great course for a golfer looking for a non traditional Arizona golf course. Plays well with some water hazards and great fairways. Always a joy to play this course.
Great courses
Wigwam has very nice courses and is always in great shape. I always look forward to playing here.
Played at 2:08pm, pace of play was good, finished the round with time to spare before sunset; play every year I visit Arizona
We had a great time. Not an easy course.
Cost of refreshments from beverage cart
Paying $8.00 for a can of beer is rather expensive
Had a great time and a excellent dinner afterwards
Fast greens
The greens were very fast and challenging. Not so great when you get punished for hitting the greens and then rolling off because most were elevated and upside down bowl shape so really only had small areas to hit to. The layout was okay. Fairways being so close together the risk of hitting someone else or them hitting you was increased. Carts were excellent and fairways grass was in good shape. I would play again because the prices were reasonable.
Consistently nice course with friendly staff and nice amrnities
We always enjoy playing the blue course. All staff are welcoming. Pro ship has been updated with new items. Course is consistently in good shape. We played in 4 hours. Good value for the money. Highly recommend. Will be back.
Nice ok course, good value for money
This course was nice but nothing too exciting. As per my ratings, everything was good.
Wigwam Golf Couse
Unbelievably slow. When we got to the 10th tee there were 3 groups waiting to tee off. After 4 hours @nd 10 minutes I had to leave without playing the last 2 holes. When I passed 18 there were 7 people on the green shaking hands. Apparently there was a group of 16 that thought that this was there private course @nd showed zero gold course etiquette . There was a ranger but he did nothing to ease the situation.
