The Wigwam Arizona
About The Wigwam Arizona
Located in the West Valley near Phoenix-Scottsdale is one of Arizona's most historic golf resorts, Wigwam. Set on 440 acres, this village-style resort features three 18-hole golf courses, including two designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., most notably the famous Gold Course. The resort features 331 casitas and suites with large private patios and several resort pools, including a new 25-foot water slide tower. The resort-style golf courses are more parkland in nature than surrounding desert courses and feature palm trees and water hazards sprinkled throughout. There are four dining concepts, led by the signature Litchfield's Restaurant serving local farm-to-table cuisine, while there is Red's Bar & Grill for casual fare and the Wigwam Bar, which is the social epicenter of the resort. Recreation outside of the 54 holes of golf is nine lighted tennis course and two regulation bocce-ball courts, sand volleyball, bike rentals and yard games.Facts

Fair to Average course and conditions. Delay in tee time by over an hour resulted in us barely finishing before dark, with no adjustment in green fees.
Too pricey for the condition
I like playing rhe Red course at the Wigwam. The greens were rolling nice. The fairways were a little shoddy and not what you would expect for the price they are charging right now. Golf prices in general have gotten way out of hand in the Valley.
Fairly Forgiving Course
Actually got teamed up with a couple guys I golfed with a couple years ago. Small world. The Red course is pretty wide open. Recovery shots are fairly easy. Lots of space between trees. Greens were very quick. Extremely windy the day I played. The last par 5 was a bit challenging. It was hard to figure out where to aim, even on the second shot.. I ended up with a dbl bogey. They could probably use something a little better than painted bricks for tee markers, that looked a little cheesy, but it's worth a play
Wigwam Golf Course Blue
Had a good time, greens in great shape. The round kept moving, had a 1 hour frost delay,
However after we teed off kept moving. 4 hour round with 4 some.
Thank You Wayne S
Was a long frost delay and Marshall wasn’t on the ball in getting us out as quick as possible. He told us there were 10 groups still ahead so the delay was going to be about another 80 mins (after we had already waited 20) then found out from the staff he was looking for us after 45 mins. If frost delays are a regular thing in winter maybe a better system to keep everyone updated and get them out asap? We only found out because our gracious bartender from the Red Allen went out to check for us. Otherwise we really enjoyed our time but didn’t get all 18 in due to the mix up which was disappointing.. Staff was amazing other than the Marshall who was otherwise friendly.
Pro shop
Lady in the pro shop dropped 2 F bombs, talking to another employee. Younger guy helping us was very friendly and helpful.
Closing holes are gimmicky. Course is in average condition. Value for money wasn't great.
Great course
First time playing Wigwam. Course was in great shape and our threesome finished in under 4 hours. Will definitely be back.
Always a favorite when I am in the area
Wigwam is a top shelf golf experience from staff, to course layout and condition. My favorite is the Red course…maybe be cause I love the challenge always seem to play well.. Gold is a monster of a course with length and challenge, but I feel plays shorter than the yardage. Not played Blue much due to short yardages.
Nice course and good value with Hot Deal
Course was in great shape but tee times were all backed up because of frost delay in morning. Not the fault of the Wigwam. They did a good job of trying to get groups out as quick as they could. Will play again.
Good job
Even though the driving range was closed due to the event taking place still great.
Great course layout…greens unexpectedly slow
I love the design/layout. Plays shorter than the yardage as hitting fairways was rewarded with nice rollout. Pins were diabolical on a number of greens. Perhaps because the Patriot All-American event was just a few days off. That said, greens looked closely cut, but were very slow so rated course conditions as 4*.
Nice fun course
We had fun as a twosome. We were paired with a father son combo. Had a good time. There was a 45 minute frost delay. Looked like they were doing a pretty job of making it work.
Love the Wigwam red
We played at 1 and got in before it got cold. Good time to play. Good greens.
Awesome staff
Golf course in excellent conditions and staff was amazing!
Red course great shape
The course was in excellent shape, with the greens rolling true
