The Resort at Pelican Hill
About The Resort at Pelican Hill
The Resort at Pelican Hill is one of SoCal's trendiest getaways, whether it's for golf or to unwind. The resort takes inspiration from the 16th century Italian architect Andrea Palladio. Each one-story bungalow guest room or suite features its own limestone fireplace, private terrace and marble bath. The 2- to 4-bedroom villas are secluded within their own gated community. Guests can lounge at the Coliseum pool and spa or shuttle to the Crystal Cove beach. Tom Fazio's North and South courses both kiss the Pacific Ocean with outstanding views throughout the round. Six restaurants will tempt your appetite.Facts

The Par 3 3rd. Photo submitted by acontinuouslean on 02/12/2018
Rough shape
Bar spots and weeds in the fairways. Great Layout and views with little maintenance. some tees on the par threes there nothing but divots.
We ran into two groups of six on the back nine.
Weeds Divits
Great Layout, Great views Fairways were burned out little grass, weeds and divots Greens would not hold any shot. We ran into two groups of sixes on the back side.
The high green fee would make sense if the course was in decent shape.Thats how great the layout and views are
A Must Play in SoCal
This place oozes wealth from the time you pull up to the valet and there are Bentleys, lambos, and ferraris sitting around everywhere. I was told people say this is the pebble beach of south California. It's not quite to that level but a very nice course and must play. Tee times can be quite pricey in the AM ($400 or more). But you can get a pretty good deal at $200-$275 after lunch. They have brand new 2022 club cars which are nice and they do have the "shark experience" on them. I played the south course from the blue tees with 25 mph winds. Even at 6200 ish yards it felt very long. Beautiful layout including two back to back par threes along the ocean that are fantastic designed holes. Ocean views on many holes. For low handicappers, the north course is definitely more of the tougher "players course" - it plays about 500-600 yards further from the tips than the south course. I personally felt I liked the south course better because I prefer a shorter more fun course and also love a few good ocean holes. Both are must plays though if you are in the Newport area!

I played the north course from the tips with 25 mph winds which was a huge mistake. It was one of the toughest courses I have played and my score was brutal. Beautiful layout. High elevation with ocean views on almost every hole. Always my favorite course
Perfect day to play a round of golf at this beautiful course. The layout is great and green is very challenging! We had a lot of funs and will come back soon.
Great experience!
This is one of my favorite courses in Southern California. Wonderful views, friendly staff, great amenities and the course is pristine. Definitely worth the time and money.
Beathe taking!
The views were incredible!
The course was in top condition!
It was a very challenging expeience all around. definitely will return next year again!
This one of a kind course has it all
The old saying really applies here it doesn't get better than this. You constantly have a view of the ocean, it is so beautiful and luxurious really a treat
The North Ocean Course
Absolutely the best round of golf for me this year. The course was in great condition, the staff was amazing and my guests and I had a wonderful round of golf. You have to play this golf course!!!
Disappointed
Very disappointing. Make no mistake this is a resort course. I called the day of morning to advance the tee time as there were so many available the man in the phone was talking about the penalties on changing without even talking about the changes and how they can assist. No rangers or encouragement play was super slow. Greens were soft and not maintained. 3-4 holes has a nice view other than that everything is average. Hope they work together to improve all areas.
Play the South course it was a great layout course was in great shape would definitely go back got paired with a couple of members definitely helped having them let you know where not to hit it
This place is killer
Difficult track, absolutely insane views. Literally not an ugly place to stand on this entire golf course. Really tough greens. #17 is the most beautiful I’ve seen in my life and I’ve played all over the world. Only gripe would be price, but hey, it’s Newport Beach real estate, and this was not a cheap course to build (or maintain) so I get it.
Great Resort
One of the best exclusive resort courses in Cali to play. Great views on every hole. Facility great. Course was in good condition. Greens a bit rough mostly from unrepaired divots. Winds require experienced players if you want to score. If you never have played here it is worth doing so at least once. Zach says Very Swanky.
