The Resort at Pelican Hill
About The Resort at Pelican Hill
The Resort at Pelican Hill is one of SoCal's trendiest getaways, whether it's for golf or to unwind. The resort takes inspiration from the 16th century Italian architect Andrea Palladio. Each one-story bungalow guest room or suite features its own limestone fireplace, private terrace and marble bath. The 2- to 4-bedroom villas are secluded within their own gated community. Guests can lounge at the Coliseum pool and spa or shuttle to the Crystal Cove beach. Tom Fazio's North and South courses both kiss the Pacific Ocean with outstanding views throughout the round. Six restaurants will tempt your appetite.Facts

Beautiful course
Very friendly off the tee. Tough to hold a green. Putts break different then you think. Not an ocean course but plenty of ocean views. Great one time play.
great course, but slow greens
great course, but i get it, setup for resort guests so greens are a bit slow...pace was the best ever, easy under four
Is not worth it
Friendly welcome, bad condition of the range. Tee boxes very bad condition. Layout okay but I played a lot of way better courses speciall by this price. Time of play with a foursome infringe who played at least 3 balls at every hole. No Marshall around the caddy was teaching same on the course. Not to be recommended. All over the course in bad condition. For this kind of money I expect a perfect course and not such mediocre.
Anton Koschnik visiting from overseas.
The Pebble Beach of south Cali
One view was better than the last. There is ALOT of slope and some bounces around the greens that will cost you if you do not land the ball is the right spot. Greens are fast and difficult to read if you are not used to seeing the grain move the ball towards the ocean. I will be back!!!
Better value elsewhere
This course seems to be mostly a place to take clients on an expense account. As so, it’s seems to get a lot of play and is in very poor condition for a $400 a round course. Your paying for the views and they are fantastic but the course is unremarkable and beat up.
Great views
Stunning geography. Course in great shape. Superb staff and amenities. Can blow up 15th green but otherwise nice layout.
Fantastic
Great course
Nice to see how the other half lives and plays :)
Great course and will be playing again.
What a day & view
I'd played the north and wanted to play the south for a while. We jumped on a hot deal for around $250/player at 12 pm. The course was in pretty good shape after the greens were needle punched 4 days prior. This was unnoticable for the first 12 or so holes and the putts ran nicely. Then on the last 6 holes, the greens were a little rougher withbeither larger punching holes or very squishy (especially 17 and 18). This allowed the putts to get more affected by footprints than normal. The views are breathtaking especially #7 and #16 which are par threes with the ocean behind. The tees and fairways for the most part were good with the occasional rough or dormant spots. A fair amount of the bunkers had 4-6 inches of sand especially to the front left of #1, but were mostly good.
Amazing Ocean view
I played this beautiful course many years ago.Today we had another nice round even was so cold. We didn’t finish 18 holes since TT too late. We will be back for sure! Staffs are very friendly. Course condition was very great even with heavy rain last few days. They did excellent job to maintaining.
