The Resort at Pelican Hill
About The Resort at Pelican Hill
The Resort at Pelican Hill is one of SoCal's trendiest getaways, whether it's for golf or to unwind. The resort takes inspiration from the 16th century Italian architect Andrea Palladio. Each one-story bungalow guest room or suite features its own limestone fireplace, private terrace and marble bath. The 2- to 4-bedroom villas are secluded within their own gated community. Guests can lounge at the Coliseum pool and spa or shuttle to the Crystal Cove beach. Tom Fazio's North and South courses both kiss the Pacific Ocean with outstanding views throughout the round. Six restaurants will tempt your appetite.Facts

Save your money and play elsewhere
For the price that you have to pay to play here, you would expect everything to be top notch. Unfortunately Pelican Hill Golf Club falls short. The pro shop staff made me feel like I didn't belong. The starter nearly accused me of not paying for my round. The condition of the North course was average at best. These are the worst bunkers for a high-end golf course that I have ever seen. I saw two tee boxes that were being redone and at least 9 that need to be redone. I wanted to treat myself to a nice round of golf, I should have gone to Trump National. Save your money and play elsewhere.
Just amazing
Was skeptical due to the price but took the plunge for a experience of a lifetime and it did not disappoint. Stunning views. Amazing course. TOUGH greens.
Great Course
I’m 64 and this is the best course bar none I have ever played. $78 on Golf Now was a great deal.
Can't wait to return!
We had the opportunity to play the South course at Pelican Hill today and it was beyond my expectation! I had read lot of reviews from other people and the general consensus was that while it was scenic, the North Course was much more difficult and the "Championship" of the two.
Let me preface by saying that the South Course is no walk in the park. To begin with, if you are not a far hitter, you will struggle from the White tees and above. This course requires you to hit far and also be accurate, given that a lot of the holes play pretty long.
Critics have said that some of the holes are gimmicky, and I concur. I would say there are about 4-5 holes and seem a little force fed or underwhelming, and I was especially underwhelmed by holes 12 and 13, the back to back par 3's. Nothing really too special here.
This course is very idyllic, taking you through windy roads full of trees and flowers, and views of the ocean / surrounding areas which is just really really spectacular.
Overall, a very nice course, though, but make sure that you prepare yourself!
Fantastic Venue
You cannot go wrong with this fantastic facility! Enjoy the views all day long.
Chalanging greens sloppy and fast hard when it’s your first time playing the course . A little wind made it even harder. But the course conditions and the scenery are fabulous and made the experience a treat
Thank you!!
I think I saw one bad patch of grass. Could not have been any better.
Love Pelican Hill!
Pelican Hill--the Pebble Beach of Southern Ca.
Wonderful day. The staff--from the parking lot to the cjourse--was superb. Very impressive young men and women.
Most beautiful course I’ve ever played
Absolutely stunning. Generously wide fairways with challenging greens. A bucket-list course.
