Mystic Dunes, a Hilton Vacation Club

This is the worst course I have played in a very long time. There were literally big patches of sand in the middle of greens (see photo).. The tee boxes and fairways weren’t much better. It’s a shame because this course used to be fun and in relatively good condition but I will never be coming back here again. And to charge the amount that they charged almost felt like an insult. They must be trying to take advantage of the spill over from the higher rates over at Disney.

Now that Hilton owns this property, I hope they invest money and apply some TLC to bring it back to its' potential. The layout is fine but the conditions are not near other courses in the immediate area. Celebration GC and many others provide a better value for a low handicap golfer. Mystic Dunes has unpredictable and `rock hard greens that fail to hold even your best shots.

Hilton can surely restore this gem.

This use to be an outstanding course… but honestly for $20 more you could have played many different courses. In the condition it is maybe max price $65 (being very generous) tops $40. If you are here on vacation and want a bad experience go here or spend the extra $20 and get a great course down the street at Disney

The course lay out is good but the condition was deplorable.

We played 3-1-23. Course is in good shape. Tee’s fairways, and collars are over seeded. Greens are not but are rolling good and true. Few greens are bumpy on the front but overall great layout and good experience.

The layout of the course was nice. The course was dry and need of water. Tee boxes were worn out from the many divots. Some Parts of the fairways were plain dirt. Greens were bumpy and patches of grass growing in different places making it hard to putt. Not worth the money.

For the money they charge yo expected a better course. Definitely not worth the money.

This course is in bad shape. $100 is way too much. Maybe $50 would be acceptable? Greens full of weeds that were slightly higher than grass so ball bounces along. Many areas on fairways are dirt only. Starter told us everywhere on course is lift and place. Course is supposed to be overhauled in May so it looks like they have stopped taking care of it.

The course has definitely seen better days but the track remains more than playable. Tees fairways and greens are in ok shape, amongst the beautiful rolling hills. Looking forward to playing again at the end of the week, we will definitely be back to visit again. Some of these reviews are horribly dramatic and I was pleasantly surprised. I’ll be back!

Terrible greens tee boxes fairways no grass cart died on hole 14 called club house multiple times no answer had to be pushed by joining twosome to finish the round

It's a mystery to me how the owners of this golf course could justify charging the rates to play that they do. We paid $75 each for our threesome and were hoping we got a great deal.

Boy were we fooled, the course condition were awful with none to little grass on the tees and fairways. If you miss the fairway forget it, you are in scrub or in sand areas that are not bunkers. When you get to the greens they are probably the worst I have ever played, it felt like you had to putt through cabbage heads with the amount of weeds on them.

The starter was very friendly but warned us before teeing off the course conditions were no better tan fair. Guess as an employee he couldn't say they were bad or else be fired. Played on a Saturday and no refreshment cart on the front nine, stopped at restaurant at the turn and the bartender appeared like she didn't want to be there and the brat I ordered must have been sitting in warm water since breakfast.

I wouldn't recommend this course for any level player as it is way overpriced and in terrible condition.

The course has been let go as it will be completely redone in May. If we only paid $50 it may have been worth it. Greens were what I would expect the fairways to be like and the fairways were nonexistent. Simply put, the course looked unkept.

I have high expectations for the redo that will start in May. The facilities are nice and the staff is friendly so they have a good foundation to work with, just need a course that meets some basic expectations.

The winds were blowing making the course very challenging. The tees and fairways are decent but overall the roughs and other areas are dormant and a variety of grasses not looking great. To avoid this, hit the ball straight then the course is more than playable. The greens for the most part were rolling pretty good. Heard they are redoing the course soon. Let’s go Hilton!

Paid full price for dead greens. I can understand fairways and tee decks but not greens. Staff mentioned course will close to renovate all the greens but still the full $109. Tough hit to the wallet during vacation.

Played this course today and wow from start to finish this was the worst experience I’ve had in Florida , course unplayable for the most part, greens felt like I was playing plinko , the starter was great and the cart girl super nice but everyone else from dropping bags to checking in terrible customer service and range balls, good luck, they might ask you to go out into the field and pick up your own balls to practice with or better yet wait until you play the 10th hole with about 60 range balls scattered across the fairway and hope you don’t hit your tee shot into them , will never play this course again even if it was $20 I’d pass , waste of time and money

I would not waste your time nor money. I been wanting to play this golf course for many years but it’s alway been expensive. This year I broke down and had saved to play this one as one of my high end courses wow was I wrong. Someone should call the police for want they are doing their. Charging that kind of money and having the worst golf course I have ever experienced here in Florida. In fact anywhere in Canada or South Carolina North Carolina. All the bad reviews are true wish I saw them before I went.

Course has a very good layout, undulating fairways, doglegs, water, etc. This course was one of my favorites. It was neglected for a while but new management has been working to improve conditions. Course is better than it was late last year. Fairways are green and putting greens are rolling better. Id play again and hope course conditions will more.

Paid over 100 to play this course and the greens were awful, dead spots and covered with weeds and or different types of grasses. Sand traps full of weeds, tee boxes were bare and fairways were just barely playable. Very disappointing for the cost.

This course should have been $39 not $109. Simply not worth playing. I was told it was closing in May of this year (2023) to do improvements. Needs them badly.
