Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
About Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
Somewhat overshadowed by Sawgrass, this classic inn and resort predates it by several decades. Two charming golf courses have benefited from the design expertise of local resident and experienced architect Bobby Weed, and the new Lodge recently increased the resort's accommodations complement by several dozen rooms. Ponte Vedra Inn & Club should be near the top of the list for visitors seeking a sense of Old Florida.Facts

Starting to burn out
The course is starting to burn out. The tee boxes were in very poor shape due to lack of water. The course had a lot of granular fertilizer on it and with it being so dry, it appears to be just burning the grass along with blowing everywhere. I like the course but will wait a few weeks before trying again.
Excellent course
A great course getting a facelift.
New owner doing the right thing, remodeling the clubhouse and the golf course. In good condition now but destined to be one of the best.
Another great day at River Wilderness!
Beautiful day to play golf. This is one of those courses that's a par 72, but not too long. Just over 5,000 yards from the gold tees. Really nice layout. Nice carts with navigation. We look forward to returning to River Wilderness the next time we have the opportunity.
Disappointing
The course could be great if it was taken care of. No grass on the tee boxes and we had decided to move the ball in fairway to a place where there was grass. Usually we could find a place within 24". We will not be back. There are a lot of other courses that have grass on tee boxes and fairways.
River Wilderness
Had fun, course could be great with some tender loving care.
Nice course
Nice course. . Pretty average conditions. Pace of play was great until we hit a log jam after about 12 holes. I would play again, but I like Waterlefe which is nearby, much better and essentially the same price.
Great course.
My first time playing this course was about 3 weeks ago, and I was hoping to be able to get back soon. I was able to get out today, and again, the course did not disappoint.
Bit of a disappointing day. Incompatible pairing, which very rarely happens to us. Slow play. Hate to say it, but maybe they should use a ranger for a bit to educate the golfers on keeping pace, and limit time players spend fishing and searching for balls. Course not in as nice of shape as a couple weeks ago - drying out a bit.
New golf carts are most annoying
The new golf carts are quick but the GPS starts beeping a million times when you get around the greens and tees. In addition to that it doesn't let you go certain places. The cart stops and makes you go in reverse at -2 miles per hour. Wait until the lawsuits begin when there is lightning and people cant take a shortcut to get off the course in time.
Aside from the obnoxious carts and gPS system, the course is great. Staff is very friendly and the conditions are improving anf the driving range is free and fun with the fee. I recommend River Wilderness highly and love to play it
Great day of golf
This course is great in all aspects except pace of play. They need a Marshall to move slow players along.
Great Day
Enjoyed it thoroughly, great pace of play, the greens were good and the layout is a lot of fun.
