Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort

Very nice but challenging course with lots of water and sand. Course was in good shape for the time of year. Greens were a little long and putted slow but held shots and were in good condition. Would definitely play it again.

Course in great shape for the time of year, greens were pretty good. #2 fairway, disappointing, had to move the ball to hit 2nd shot.

Staff was good, with the exception of a fivesome out then a foursome then our twosome, seemed to be a lot of twosomes, which feels slow, but actually was only 7 minutes slow, but when it’s 2 then 2 then 5 then 4 then us it feels slow

The course was nice to play. The pace of the greens were very slow.

Greens great shape. Most tee boxes nice. Only complaint was some of the sand traps needed sand and raked. Very friendly staff. Let me as a single tee early when another groups do isn’t show. Got 18 done in about 2 hours

Course was generally in very good shape with the exception of the bunkers which are in desperate need of work sand more sand Some of the tee boxes also are in need of some leveling The greens were very healthy and ran true but were very slow

This was a great course to play at yesterday. Weather was perfect. Tea boxes were very nice. Fairways were groomed very nicely. The greens were good putting, but they were a little bit on the slow side.

Incredible views, greens were slow, but very consistent.

The course is very fair and playable. The greens were just ok.

The course was in great shape, beautiful greens. Lots of water around the holes required accuracy off the tee. The wind off the big water was absolutely brutal -3 clubs. Not sure why a nice course would allow a five some but they did so play came to screeching halt when we caught up to them on the back nine.

Played this course a bunch of times and every time it’s been amazing views and average condition. This time it’s better than ever and the course was in feet shape. One of my favorites in the area for sure.

Good condition considering March 4th. Definitely like to play more long irons, particularly off the tee. I play it a couple times every year.

Tee time of 2:20, so we knew we would not likely finish 18 before dark. Arrived at 1:45, waited 10 minutes in line to check in. At the starter at 2 pm. She was rude and inconsiderate. 2 pm player (single?) didn't show until 2:10. She let 2:10 4some start at 2:07. Single at 2:30 offered to play along with us, but she let the late 2:00 and another single pair off and start ahead of us.

We waited at every shot.

No coolers allowed, so we bought one drink each before we started, planned to purchase snacks and additional drinks from the cart. Saw cart girl as we were at 1st tee, but never again.

The course is beautiful, well-maintained. Carts have GPS, nice touch.

Left after 14 holes, tired, hungry, thirsty, and too dark to see.

No marshal, no one trying to monitor pace of play, that we could see.

Baytowne is the best course, in my view, in the greater Destin area. It never fails to please and it always provides a great round of golf. I truly hope the rumors about SanDestin closing the back 9 to build more condos or houses is just that, a rumor, because the back 9 is a jewel. Really looking forward to playing Baytowne again next snowbird season!

In general a good course. But getting a bit beat up. In particular, cart paths are a mess. Need a lot of work, repait and repaving. Men's room in the pro shop was mostly out of service. This is not a cheap muni course... should be kept up to date and we'll maintained.!

Tee makers had not been moved for t least a week. We hit almost all of our tee shots outside the teeing area. Bunkers were horrible. They had not been groomed for several days. I played both the Links and the Raven in past few days and both were the same.
