Great course for the price
We like golfing at Jekyll Island courses as it’s always relaxed and pace of play is good. We did back up on a few holes, but nobody’s bothered by it since everyone’s on vacation there.
Over priced muni
$75 on a weekday, craziness. Numerous greens have something growing on them other than grass, bumpy as can be.
No water containers on course.
This needs to be dug up and redone
Our home course away from home
We played this course two consecutive days with similar conditions each day. Truly enjoyable and the second day, the wildlife were abundant throughout the 18 holes. The one thing that didn’t change from day to day (besides my scores) was the slow pace of play even though we doubled up with a couple with a tee time behind us to cut down their waiting. Each day, the foursomes ahead of us were slow to move off the greens.
Enjoyable course for early spring outing
As relative beginners (one more than the other), we found the course challenging but not overwhelmingly so. We played with another couple and the pace of play was good with neither players pushing us from behind or we having to wait for those in front of us. My biggest challenge coming off an extremely rainy season up north was adjusting to the dry conditions. I look forward to playing Oleander again before our annual snowbird stay ends.
All of the courses at Jekyll Island are under reconfiguration and I expect will be much better in the future.
3 courses to choose from
The fourth course is being renovated as we speak. Over all nice course. The fairways are a bit narrow. We played Orleander.
Great course for the money
Friendly staff, great pace- felt like I had the whole place to myself. Lots of construction on adjacent course but not distracting. Would definitely play again. Only saw 1 gator.
Good course for the money
Oleander is a beautiful course with challenges on every hole. The course maintenance seems to be ongoing, but could use some extra tlc in places. All in all, it’s a fun course to play.
Solid track
Great time here. Construction on the new course, Pine lake I think, was the only bummer. Took some of the scenery away. Other than that it was great time and everyone not only staff were super nice.
Greens need work
The greens need to be reseeded and tended better. There are patches where grass is growing up that is uncut that makes putting seen more like winter rules. There are no ball washers on any hole and there are no yardage markers on any hole; one must depend solely on the GPS in the cart. Didn't see any 150 or 100-yd markers
only 3 18 hole courses with 1 under renovation
