Pine lakes
Very nice course in excellent condition and very reasonably priced. Great fun for my son and I.
Great Deal.
Awesome price! A little cool early in the morning but warmed up!
Great course!
Great course, fun to play! Could use a bit less water on the fairways and greens. It has been fairly dry here and there were lots of soggy spots.
Course is in great condition!
Beautiful course with lots of water views. Lots of deer and picture opportunities.
Requires FOCUS
Length and accuracy off the T is required. Greens are true and quick. Beautiful scenery.
Oleander challenge
Course was wet and grass long when played; Scenic with abundant wildlife; Challenging; True and fast greens with a few bare spots; Bunkers are well maintained; Difficult to find ball when just off the fairway; Pleasant staff;
Features
The course was in great shape. It offered challenging and lengthy par 3's which requires a delicate shot selection sometimes over water. The par 5's were challenging as well especially going thru the wind. I enjoy every minute of our gathering.
Nice layout, lots of wildlife
We really liked the course. Played 18 holes in 3 hours 15 minutes. Some challenging holes but fair. Pretty course with lots of trees with spanish moss. Tons of wildlife-deer, birds and alligators.
Check the grass!
Pine Lakes had long rye grass on fairways, making play pretty pointless. Season and weather require winter preparation, apparently.
We much appreciated the offer of play on Oleander, which still relied on bermuda. Perfect! Coastal golf at its best.
Nice course at good price
I liked this course, especially at $20 pp. from Golfnow. It was in good shape, not busy and we finished in 3.5 hours. It is pretty easy, did not lose any balls. Wide fairways with bunkers the only real hazard.
Fun course
I like this course a lot. Challenging but not too difficult. Beautiful setting on Jekell Island lots of birds, deer, a few alligators.
Another great Jekyll Island course
Great, friendly staff. I walked up and asked if I could get a lesson and they made it happen. Fairways range from narrow to generous. Got behind a threesome waking, which slowed things down. Will probably play this one again before heading home.
You have to see Jeykl
Worth the drive down from Savannah, unfortunately there was lots of dew due to 8Am tee-off, would book after 10 in the fall. Oleander's review was that it was the most difficult o the Jeykl group, it would be a pleasure to play the other 3
Great value, lovely course
This is a very nice public course. Indian mound is really beautiful and the course is fun and challenging. Greens are a bit mossy and slow but the sand is good quality--if you are careless enough to get in! Highly recommend, especially for the $23 we paid for 18 holes and a cart.
Nice course
Was a nice course. For the amount of ppeople on the course we moved fairly well. Couple of hold ups. Traveled from Savannah and was unaware of six dollar fee to enter Jekyll island. Fairways were in great shape. Tee boxes were good shape. Some greens weren't in great shape however. Very hard to get used to.
Lovely course
Very good condition, beautiful surroundings and managed to play in just 2,5 hours as a singel golfer.
Nice course.
Everything was as advertised. Nice course and nice people.
Fairways little wet
Have played course many times. Our group wish fairways were cut a little shorter. The fairways always feel "soft" I am sure this is due to the soil holding moisture. For people that like to see wildlife this is the place to be especially in the fall of year. The staff could not be any nicer, from the cart people to the front desk.
Paid for 18 could only do 9
The weather seemed ok so I booked this and when I got to the course it was Cart Path Only. I booked for the next day as well. I could only play 9 as I am 64 with some bumped knees. There no way to know this until I showed up at the course even if there was no rain they were over seeding and still Cart Path Only. Golf Now gave me a 30 day credit but for us older golfers and there are plenty more coming CART PATH ONLY is no different than closing the course! GolfNow needs to address this issue by updateing the status of there Hot Special Deals of completely refunding for Cart Path Only.
A great deal
It was a beautiful day and the course was in excellent shape.
