Worth the short drive!
The course was fabulous and in great condition. Although busy, we were not delayed once. Great staff. Fabulous wildlife including a massive alligator! What a treat to see!
enjoyable
very playable and fair course.bunker placement made the approach shot a challenge.
Pine Lakes - Jeckyll Island
Great value for the money. Course is in excellent shape. A quiet, serene setting among the Georgian pines. Lots of wildlife with deer on frequent holes
This course is very nice to play
Enjoyed playing the course. I have played all three eighteen hole courses. my favorite is The Pines next Indian Mound and Oleander.
Great location and cannot wait to go back
Best of Jekyll
The most challenging of the 3 courses. Scenery is special. Because of the recent cold course is a bit thin but still very playable. It is the wettest of the 3 so many time cart usage is restricted. If there has been rain plan on playing another course.Enjoy
Great Course
Course is a little long but in exelent condition. Holes 17 and 18 are tougher.
Run down. How sad :(
I remember playing Oleander years ago. I remembered it as a great track that was well maintained and a very good value. Today, however, the fairways are poor with little grass and lots of dead bare soils. The greens are slow, bumpy, and mostly half covered with green sand.
It makes me sad to see such a wonderful course so far behind.
If you chose to play Jeckyl, make sure it's either Pine Lakes or Indian Mounds. They need to close "Oleander" until they decide to bring it back to life. Currently, it's so dead it's decaying.... :(
Solid Track
I'm a local so when you play this course in the winter I always expect the snowbirds from the north to be out. Was paired up with a very pleasant Canadian couple who were good golfers and good company.
The course is in excellent shape. The greens will fool you as the footing feels soft but they are surprisingly fast in comparison. The short par 4s challenge you off the tee in what club you use and how much you want to bite off. The 18th par 4 is one of the toughest you'll play due to length and water down the right side of the fairway.
Spring is coming
It is nice to see the grass starting to get green. Some of the greens still need some growth, but at least we are playing. 17 & 18 are a challange both with water and play long because of it. Staff was great as always. You cannot go wrong at any of the Jekyll Courses!!!
Pine Lakes Course
When I saw the pictures on-line, I thought there would be more water holes. I can only remember 3 holes where water came into play.
I signed up as a single and the starter didn't have anyone to pair me up with, so I played as a single. It took me under 3 hours to do the loop. I paid $15 through Golfnow for a hot deal and another $6 to get onto Jekyll Island. After tips and soda, it might have cost me $30. That was a bargain. Course was in good shape. People are very friendly.
Jekyll Island-Ideal Venue
Another wonderful day of golf @ Jekyll Island. It's winter "snow bird" season, so expect lots of walkers.
Course was in excellent shape
Played this course with 3 of my friends and all of us had nothing but good things to say about this course. Fairways and greens were perfect! Looking forward to playing next year.
issue with tee time
some how I was charged for 2 times on same day for 2 different courses
with a few minutes apart. I would appreciate some help on a refund or a credit since I didn't see it till today when I booked another tee time .
Thanks
Robert Igarashi
A walk in a park
A pleasure to play and in great condition for winter golf!!
Perfect greens and fairways
Great value and outstanding condition. I try to play this course each time I head south. Never disappointed.
Great Value
My husband and I played and paired up with a single. We played in 3 ½ hours and enjoyed it very much! A very interesting, well maintained course for a public course. Will play it again!
Oleander/Jekyll Island
Been a few years since we played this course, and got it for a good rate. Course was pretty wet and there was no roll out and lots of plugged balls. Saw more employees than golfers. Course was in decent shape for this time of year. I believe only 1 hole was roped off from carts. Greens pretty decent shape. Played in under 3 hrs. It's a definite course to play when the course has dried out, and you get a good rate. There were a few more golfers on the other 2 courses.
Plays long
Course is wet; Get what you Hit; Breeze off the ocean adds to length and difficulty; Greens not consistent due to kill and aeration;
Will play here often
Have enjoyed the friendly staff, have enjoyed the scenery and course conditions and I will come here as my first choice of golf courses on the Golden Isles. The course is fun and I enjoy the wildlife, the pace and the opportunity to play among the trees rather than golf course homes.
I admire the courses commitment to the environment.
Pine lakes
Very nice course in excellent condition and very reasonably priced. Great fun for my son and I.
