Lakes Course
Mid-March and we played the Lakes Course. I'm thinking they're getting ready for their summer seed, as the courses has a lot of brown in it. Regardless though, we had a great time! We enjoyed the fast greens (once we got used to them), and the sloped fairways. Huge sandtraps line many of the holes and created a challenge. But all in all the course was fun! We started with a great lunch in the clubhouse and spent the afternoon on the course. Will definitely golf there again when we are back in Vegas!
hot day - dry course
Fairways were dormant, greens not green, but putted ok. Not as appealing as a couple of years ago. Water is an issue at Primm and no extra water to be found and used on the Desert course. Clubhouse and bar were great and all staff were courteous and pleasant. Will go back after a good rain storm - but not if it is dry conditions.
Great design and fun to play
I will probably play this course again when we're staying in Vegas. It would rate 5 stars across the board if fairways were better maintained and shower in men's locker room wasn't leaking with just a bucket under shower head. Service was very good and server in grill room was a delight even though they weren't serving full menu.
Green structures challenging but fair.
Primm Valley GC
Great course for the money. Hard to believe that out in the desert you could find this oasis. Fun course to play. There are a lot of sand traps to really make this interesting to play.
Best value in town.
Two great 18 hole courses. Great clubhouse and staff. Played the course in a shoulder season. Needs alot of water, but this is Nevada in the winter. It can only get better. Select the right tees and you'll get great shot value. If your gong to make the 45 min drive from Vegas, stay for 36 holes and lunch.
First time playing this wonderful course! We will be back and definitely recommend the course to friends.
ball washer
they don,t have ball washers at t boxes-- which would be helpful
Not what it once was
This course is a great and fun layout but the conditions have really gone downhill. Fairways are dormant with clumps of grass where you keep getting bad lies.i would expect the dormant fairways for this time of year, but, not with all the different types of grass trying to grow in. The bunkers are hard with virtually no sand but plenty of rocks to scar your clubs. The value is solely based on the $24 green fee. If it hadn't been for the $24 golfnow hot deal, I would have felt ripped off. The staff however, was second to none. Very friendly and accommodating. On the plus side, you do get more roll on the drives.
The greens were in good condition and rolling true. The fairways were patchy in their color but for the most part landing on grass was always possible. Sand traps were NOT. Trap linings were visible in 95% of them. Disappointing!
Primm, Lakes Course
I finished my round, got cold as expected for February. Great course, winter grass was a little dry and tough. Overall course was in good shape. G
Tuff greens, nice layout, use good course management to approach greens and even on a cold winter day you will have fun. I will return to play on a warmer day!
Great course
Great layout. Very playable for all golfers. Good condition for the time of year. Green's are in great shape. Staff is very friendly. Well worth the drive.
Interesting course
1st time playing, my partner said the course generally looks much nicer he thought the fairways may have had a fungus. I could see if the fairways were in better shape it would be a very nice course. Got a great hot deal price so not disappointed about the condition. Would have been if I paid the regular price. Will play again in the hopes it is in better shape next time. Staff was super friendly and helpful. They were the true gems at this place. Club house was nice and breakfast sandwich was delicious. Hope this helps.
Beautiful location
Views of the mountains on all four sides. Course is fair but demands your aim and distance be true as many sand traps ready to welcome your ball .Greens are on the fast side but a good putt will hold its line. Overall a great day of golf and we will be going back!! Also I thought going that far outside Vegas area to play was off putting but the drive was easier than going across Vegas to play.
Great layout
Was in poor shape tee to green, no overseeding was done
Beautiful Day
Had a great day at the course. We drove from Utah to play. We are regulars to your course and plan twice a month because we like it!
Thank You
Good greens
This course was in ok winter condition, but the greens were quite good - smooth, fast and tricky. It can be very windy and cold this time of year, but I caught a great day with no wind. Both courses at Primm are interesting and quite different, Give them a try on the way to or from Vegas.
