About Sea Trail Resort Villas
The Sea Trail Resort Villas are located north of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and south of Wilmington, N.C. The property sprawls across 2,600 acres and features three championship golf courses. Villas span from one to four bedrooms in size and are equipped with full kitchens, all within 1.5 miles from the barrier island beaches. Indoor and outdoor pools are available to guests at the activity center, which also includes a game room, shuffleboard and more. Units feature a screened-in porch or balcony. Stay-and-play golf packages are available to Sea Trail Golf Club's Rees Jones, Dan Maples and Willard Byrd golf courses. Sea Trail has two clubhouses with driving ranges, putting greens and a PGA-sanctioned learning center.Facts

Don’t waste your money if you’re paying an out of town rate. Greens were brown and dying. Only a few tee boxes actually had grass. 2/10.

Course requires accuracy over distance.
Not bad for the money paid on golf now. A good value course for the area. Staff was very helpful and nice.

Highly recommend this course
Played early morning with little to no wait time and actually got on the first tee a little early. Course was in excellent shape with the fairways as well as the greens were both very nice. Can not think of a negative thing during the round other than a couple wayward shots that had nothing to do with the round. Will definitely be back on our next trip!

A disaster
Booked on GolfNow a week before playing, arrived 20 minutes before T-Time. Line inside the pro-shop took 25 minutes with everyone seemingly having an issue. Finally getting to check in I was told they couldn’t find my reservation. Was told they could get me out on Maples instead. Played Maples as it was my only option (Waited another hour before getting out). Maples staff /customer service by far was superior to what I experienced at Bird course. However, Maples as far as course isn’t great and not worth the money I spent.

Great experience
I was a single and the starter allowed me to go off first in the morning and I was able to play at my own pace and work on some second shots and putts. The course was in great shape and was a great value!

Shabby
Not as I remember it. Played Jones many times and conditions were not up to par. Greens were slow and uneven. Many fairways were sparse and dry and many tee boxes, (seniors) were uncut and patchy. Not what I expected. Play the Byrd course instead. Sea Trails can do better.

Great round of golf
Pretty solid course for the money. Overall not a difficult course but fun to play. Staff was great - not much of the snack bar or other food was available when we played or would have been a bit better - but made it work
