Martin, just wanted to tell you that the Planemate has in addition to helping my swing has also helped my putting. I grew up watching Arnie putt so I always used a lot of wrists. After using the Planemate I can comfortably putt without using my wrists. Much more consistent.
How about when you have more distance (100 yards) with larger rocks on the ground?
Hello Percida, be careful if you are in rocks. If you are on a gritty surface, it's important that you touch the ball before you touch the ground. It's like hitting a fairway bunker shot. Steady upper body with weight bias toward lead foot. No sliding;) !
For a right striker, how do you keep your left arm from bending on the back swing?
Hi Robert, if your lead arm bends on the backswing it's because your trail arm bends too much. Keep your trail arm straighter by turning your chest more and your lead arm won't bend during the backswing.
Hi Martin. Would you use the same approach when hitting from pine straw?

I'd be a little more biased to try and catch the ball first. The club won't skid on the pine needles. From a narrow stance, play the ball back a bit with the handle forward and do your best;)

Hey Martin, really enjoy your tips & videos. I’m a 9.1 handicap & I play each weekday morning. One shot that always screws with me hitting out of the chips. Whether it’s a 3i or a 54°, the lack of stability or solid surface under the ball, I don’t know. Any tips?

Hi Eric, the more unstable the surface, especially wood chips or pine straw, you'd better try and catch the ball on the way to your swing bottom and that bottom should be slightly ahead of the ball.

A little open is a good thing. Too much, raises the leading edge and you could get a skilled shot.

The difference between my good pitch shots and my poor pitch shots comes down to three potential issues: 1) use of bounce as you demonstrated 2) reasonable tempo 3) "collecting the ball" with good arm structure/rotation

What about using a seven iron and a putting motion? My seven is my go to club unless the ball is above the level of the green.
