Are you hitting 1 inch behind the ball?
Do you open the club face on the high, stop-fast shot to put more loft and therefore more spin on the ball? Also, answer John B.'s question about where you strike the ball. 1 inch behind? And is that true for both of these shots or different for the running shot?
Any change if the sand is fluffy? It seemed your sand was just a tad thin or maybe damp?
Is a 58 degree the best club for bunker shots?
Where are you positioning the ball in your stance? Should they both Bethesda me?
Do you change how far behind the ball you enter the sand in these 2 scenarios? It seems to me that you would enter the sand closer to the ball to spin it more but you don't mention that in this tip so perhaps that is not the case. Good tip. Thank you!
I have a tough time dealing with hard/wet/packed sand (vs loose & fluffy). In loose sand I have some success with splashing the sand on to the green and not thinking about the ball so much. Should I be picking the ball clean when the sand is hard and wet?
