The public courses I play have a lot of 'sand' like you were hitting out of. Will try it next week.
Good to see you again, Pro! Been a while since you've had a video on this site... Good stuff, as usual!

Valuable lesson for those obscure wet/firm sand bunker shots we all face from time - time.
I would just like to thank you Martin for being so conscientious in replying to the questions after your video tips. You answer every question with a targeted and useful reply, setting a much appreciated example which regrettably is not always followed by your colleagues!
I notice that the harder bare sand will make my sand wedge bounce up to the ball I sometime will close the face and hit closer to the ball. Does that work as well?
Thanks Martin, great help here.
Helpful knowing all local monies never care to their bunkers. Wet bunkers are always almost the case.
I love this! Thanks so much! So many of the bunkers on my courses, hardly ever fluffy! Question...what about bunder that are literally just a little sand sprinkled on hard pan dirt? There's no way to get under at all, I'd just blade it. I'm in central California, so it's quite common it seems. Any thoughts? I totally just want to treat it has ground under repair, since it can be almost impossible to catch it clean as it seems like is required and get it out of a greenside bunker. Thanks so much!
Really needed help with this very subject and look forward to implementing as needed. I have had a couple of large numbers before due to hard and wet bunkers and became very uncomfortable not knowing the best way to approach them until now. Thank you so much!
Very helpful
