Delaware Golf Club
About
Delaware Golf Club sprawls across rolling countryside that lends an idyllic and secluded setting. Donald Ross designed the original nine holes in 1922 and they were later joined by a second nine designed by Michael Hurzdan in 1998. The layout meanders through wooded valleys and ravines. The rolling fairways are fairly wide but they are lined with mature trees and bunkers heavily guard the small, undulating greens. There are also water hazards that come into play on a number of holes. Delaware Golf Club's second hole is notably challenging, it is arguably the toughest hole on the front nine. This par-4 requires not only accuracy in order to avoid the ravine on the left but also distance to carry the lake and remain in the angled fairway. Golfers will be faced with one of the most difficult putts on the golf course if their approach finds the wrong side of the green.

Very good but some work to do
I absolutely love this course. We paired up with a single who also thought the front 9 took 3 days to play, but we were on a 2 hour pace. Beautiful drives hole to hole, nice lay out. Great patio bar for EOG. Super friendly staff. Would definitely return
Downhill
This course has gone substantially downhill over the past three years. Last time I played this course was three years ago when it was in pristine condition. This time around the tee boxes were chewed up, the fairways in pretty decent shape, but most of the greens were burnt out and in severe unplayable conditions. They clearly had not mowed the tee boxes, did not mow the greens and had not trimmed the holes. One of the tee boxes had grass about 1.5 inches tall, about as tall as your golf tees.
They can’t blame the weather this year, because all the other courses in the same area are not having the same issues as them.
Not worth the money
For over $60 midweek and in the afternoon that is steep price compared to other courses in the area. The drive in off US23…thought I was going camping or on a cart path.
Carts are older, No GPS. Cart paths missing or non existent on many holes. Tee boxes were a mess with mud and crabgrass. The bunkers do not drain and were not raked. If you go in one good luck or just take it out.
The fairways and greens were fair.
The layout would be very challenging for many due to the narrowness and all the trees.
Staff was great. Nice little patio out back.
Beautiful and challenging layout
Pace just a tad slow
Being our first time we had a few issues with
Tee locations
Great course
Great course, weekday rates are very affordable. They had water and ice available on a hot day. Course was in great shape considering weather, heat and dry conditions.
Golf 5-26-26
I enjoyed the driving range which also had a sand trap to practice in. Putting green very large but no flags in the holes. Was able to tee off prior to our time as another group was not ready.
Liked complimentary water refill at the turn

Very fortunate to get out Memorial Day after the rain. Pace of play wasn’t an issue being the 2nd group off, saw the group behind us on 17 fairway when we were putting our stuff away.
Conditions were a little soggy, CPO on the front and scatter on back mostly due to no cart paths there. Front starts off a little tight through a neighborhood but then opens up. Back nine definitely had some quirks to it that aren’t for everybody (like a tree in middle of fairway on 13). Greens were rolling good, slower than usual and looks like they’re battling something on 13 and 16 green.
A gem!
A great public course in Columbus metro area! Reasonably challenging front 9 but wait until you get the back 9, which is truly Donald Ross-intimidating. First time playing here and thoroughly enjoyed.
2026 Delaware GC
First round at Delaware GC this season, and unfortunately it was the roughest condition I’ve seen the course in after playing it 15+ times over the last few years.
On this particular Monday evening:
• Pace of play was extremely slow, especially with what appeared to be league play ahead of us.
• The staff member at the counter mentioned there was no starter on duty, and there didn’t appear to be a ranger managing pace either.
• Without a starter, groups and singles weren’t being proactively paired together, which only added to the backups.
• The foursome ahead of us blamed the single and twosome in front of them for the delays because they were walking, but they also chose not to let faster groups play through. (We actively watched all four players hit into the trees on Holes 11, 12, & 13)
As for the course conditions:
• Hole 13’s green was in very poor shape, and maintenance was actively being performed while groups were still playing nearby.
• I understand maintenance is necessary, but doing significant work during active rounds only added to the frustration and delays.
• Hole 15’s tee box was heavily overgrown around the edges, which raised concerns about the overall upkeep of the course right now.
I’ve always enjoyed playing Delaware GC, which is why this round was disappointing to experience. I know courses go through difficult stretches with staffing, maintenance, and weather challenges, so I genuinely hope this was just a temporary setback and that the course can return to the level of quality it’s been known for in the past.

Excellent.. Good conditions even after the rain. Most greens very good. Couple with bare spots. Well maintained
