Red/Blue at Ramblewood Country Club
About
For more than half a century, Ramblewood Country Club has been one of the top public golf courses in southern New Jersey. The club offers 27 holes of championship golf that are played as three different 18-hole combinations. The Red/Blue Course starts with one of the original nines from 1962, while the back nine was added 10 years later. The Red nine has large, subtly undulating greens bordered by strategically placed bunkers. Be prepared for a few forced carries over water. The challenges are nicely balanced with forgiving fairways that have generous landing areas. The Blue nine is an interesting contrast to the front of the golf course. It's routed through mature pine forests and it has tighter fairways though the greens are just as undulating as the Red, making course management the key to scoring well.

Very Dry Conditions
The course needs water very badly, it’s very dry. The greens were still sanded after aeration, but rolled pretty decent. The tee boxes, rough fairways, and bunkers were in good shape.
Great Pace
Great day out without any hold ups or anyone waiting behind us. Must be the 10 min apart tee times. I thought going in that would be jammed up as it was sunny on a Saturday in May, That was not the case at all. Great time. Thanks.
Jrl
We played from the gold tee boxes on the White and Red 9s. Both were challenging enough but not too difficult to play. The staff was very friendly. The fairways were quite wide. Greens were very good.
I have not played here for many years
However I enjoyed playing there and the layout the greens were slow but in very good shape
Fairways were very good
The roughs were challenging many deep lies
I plan to return soon n improve my game
I would highly recommend others to play here
Great shape!
Course was in incredible shape! Haven't played in years but loved what they've done.
Good Conditions
Course in good condition after weekend rain.
Greens just aerated but not too bumpy.
Fairways and tees good also. Greens need about 2 weeks to absorb sand and aeration.
Good Shape for Early Spring
The course was in good condition fir early spring. Pace of play was unusually good for Ramblewood but likely due to the cooler weather.
Course was in poor condition fo the amount of money paid.
Early Season Round at Ramblewood
My friend and I played an enjoyable round consisting of white and red courses. The course was in good condition especially the greens. The colder weather helped us enjoy our round with no other groups ahead or behind us. The only issue was a recent storm had caused many branches and pine cones to be littered around several of the greens and no one had been around to clear them yet (not sure how long ago the storm happened so not a complaint). Will return! Oh, forgot to say that the bunkers are in great shape for this time of year. High quality sand!
Glad to leave
The course is great shape. Tee to green and rough were all very well maintained. I had a great time as soon as I got on the course. Finished in 4 hours. However, the staff were all sarcastic and grumpy.
This was my first time at Ramblewood and simple questions like; where is the mens room and which courses of the three 9 hole courses (Red ,White, Blue) we would be playing, were answered with annoyed sarcasam from the grumpy old men. The pro shop, starter, cart hostlers and ranger spoiled an otherwise perfect day.
