The Players Club at Foxfire Golf Club
About
Foxfire Golf Club boasts 36 holes of championship golf, the Foxfire Course and the Players Club Course. The Players Club was added in 1993.The layout is a deft combination of traditional American golf and traditional British links design that provides the perfect complement to the original. The golf course is the more challenging of the two, but not by much. The layout features narrow fairways lined with trees and water hazards on eight holes. There are three particularly tricky carries over water. Strategically placed bunkers and contoured mounding also treacherously lurk by the greensides. The par-4 16th hole is the course's signature. This demanding hole plays uphill through trees to a green that is guarded by five bunkers. The most memorable hole though, might be the par-5 eighth, which features the longest sand bunker in the Midwest.

Foxfire
The course was well layed out with some challenging hole locations accompanied with rolling hills, well layed out bunkers and water hazards. Would like to see better upkeep of the cart paths are they are in some serious need of maintenance.
Nice course after the rain
Course was in great shape even after the rain. Layout is nice, only the first full round here and the staff and course were great.
Nice course
Nice course, thought the front nine in particular had a good layout and was quite fun. The back nine was less interesting, the difficulty mostly coming from several tight tree-lined fairways. Course was very well maintained though. Not sure I'd pay the full $60 to play there, but for a hot deal round I can't complain.
Shockingly good value.
For context, these star ratings are based on my personal experiences playing public courses in and around Columbus. Considering the cost, especially on a weekend rate with cart, this course truly exceeded my expectations. The course quality is superior compared to its competitors, and the layout is both approachable and slightly challenging. It’s worth noting that this is the first and only public course I’ve ever played at that features a halfway house near the turn. The beverage cart service was frequent and convenient, as they stopped by us three times during our round. However, I believe the slow pace of play on that particular day was due to the gentleman in front of us. I had left my putter cover near the range, with my name and phone number written on it. An hour later, I received a call informing me that they had found it. Overall, nothing compares to the players club at Foxfire for the money. This course truly delivers on its promise and offers excellent value for the price. I highly recommend it.
Its back....
I play a lot of Central OH courses and stopped playing this one quite awhile ago because it had fallen apart. It sucked because the layout and bones of the course are so good. I just played yesterday and it is back! Greens were solid, most fairways were in great shape. Tee boxes were good. Carts are really nice. They put money into the right things. The cart paths are rough and bunkers are just average....areas way, way off of the fairway were just okay. But all in all, its a great course that's back in good shape.
Fun course
Used to playing desert courses so this was a nice change. Course in good condition. Not a fan of gas carts and rough cart paths.
Hidden gem
This place is great. Tucked away. Great greens, fairways and layout. Tougher than it looks. Great set up and value. Loved this course.
Pleasant surprise
Booked a hot deal to use up some credit I had on my GolfPass account. Didn’t expect much driving down 104 past all construction companies but my wife and I were pleasantly surprised. Parking lot needs work. Cart boy didn’t acknowledge us as I carried our bags . Bar tender checked us in a made a couple nice Bloody Marys. Course was in great shape. Greens were undulating and fairly quick. plenty of water hazards and bunkers. Fairways were great and the rough was thick. Four sets of tee boxes gave my wife and I the option we needed. Highly recommend playing the course.
Course shape
Course greens were a little rough mainly because players weren’t fixing divots and most sand traps were lacking sand, many were compacted and unplayable.
TPC
Great day on the course. It was pretty wet thanks to all the rain the last few days. They do need to figure out the drainage of the cart paths so you don't need a swamp buggy to get through them. Other than that the course was in great shape.
Challenging course
This course is one of my favorite courses that are really difficult to keep my score lower. This is so exciting and motivates me to improve my management skills.
Making a comeback
The Players Club is getting back to the course I remember from about 10 plus years ago. Whatever or whoever they hired or sold the course to is doing an excellent job. The last time I played the course it was in terrible condition. This morning it was awesome. The greens were in perfect shape, fast and rolled true.
TPC FOXFIRE
Nice day for golf. They did have all the pins in the hardest positions in honor of the Masters. Made the course even harder along with the 15-25 mph winds. Greens were fast
Good course! Hard if you're new
Had a great experience playing a round here. Staff was amazing!!! Course was difficult wirh numerous hazards and greens that had crazy breaks. The grounds crew didn't do us any favors by placing flags in the rhe toughest places on the green! Haha.. but was very fun and you had to really think about your shots. That's how golf is supposed to be. The only thing that I didn't like is that some greens were hard as a rock. Well placed shots literally bounced head high and rolled or bounced completely off the greens. Very fast fairways too. I will DEFINITELY be back! Good course!
Bunkers/fringe need some work
Overall in pretty good shape. Greens were great - fast for April. I’d say only 40% of the bunkers were playable and several of the fringes had bare spots. Quite a bit of ground under repair, but not in normally-playable locations.
