What can i say about this course that hasn't already been said about Syria? It's bombed out and depleted!

Bring your spelunking gear to get up the dilapidated adventure they call stairs. Fell through at least 2 different steps while playing. Also make sure your tetanus shots are up to date...

The greens will make you sick with how unkempt they are. Seriously half of the green is actually brown.

The fairways are just straight up dirt.

The teeboxes are.. uncertain(?) at best? not really sure where they are, there not marked and the grass as you could assume is non-existent.

Towards the end of last year I could tell this place was struggling. It's a sad story, Cook's used to be one of the BEST places to play in Columbus. Now, its a total joke. It's clear they've given up.

There is no chance that this place is NOT going to sell out to become a development or park or something... no chance of this place ever "coming back." It would likely cost +750k to bring this course into an actually playable course. $2m+ to bring it back to its former glory.

Wow has this course gone off the deep end. No more carts. Who knows if they staff a grounds crew. Nothing mowed to height. Foot tall crab grass is what you get as rough. Greens are mostly scalped and covered in debris. Front nine seems to always be closed. Surprised nobody has been injured on what they call stairs to some of the tee boxes. Speaking of tee boxes there are no markers to identify the tee boxes unless they’re under the unkept grass.

I would be embarrassed if I was the owner to even call this a golf course.

This is one of the best layouts in Central Ohio. What a shame they have allowed it to go to seed. The course looks like it was abandoned a few years ago and a few goats have been keeping the grass from getting too high.There was not a single tee marker

on any tee boxes.

It is very hard to believe this course is this bad, almost too hard to describe just how bad it really is.

I might be a good place to take four wheeler's and coolers and get drunk. Not a place to play golf.

It seems to be no more money being spent on course and will probably close soon. With the length and hills it's hard for anyone to walk this. I played dozens of times over past few years despite poor conditions but hey 18 and cart for around $23 was worth it. It really was once a great course with a challenging layout

Anyone who gives this dump 5 stsrs is either on drugs or using a burner account for the course. I wouldnt play this dump if it was free, i honestly do t know how it is still open do not any hours of your life you cant ever get back going near this place

ABSOLUTELY the best layout anywhere near Columbus. I look forward to its return to where it deserves to be(And once was). Way too nice a course to go by the wayside, good luck in the future!!

This is truly a unique place.the layout is great it’s in the top courses in Ohio all of Ohio .don’t gyration the condition it’s the same for everyone. Definitely one of my favorites and the staff is top notch.*****

I used to really enjoy playing this course even though I had to drive 45 minutes to get there. I played there in 2018, really bad shape. Went again in 2019, really bad. Very disappointing. Didn’t go last year in 2020 due to all the reviews I read showing how bad the course was. I may never go back. Shame it’s gotten as bad as it is. The Cooks need to get it back to its old glory or take there name off it. I know I wouldn’t want my name associated with a course that’s gotten this bad.

Used tee off to book and had a tee time with a cart. Get a text less than 24 hours before tee time telling us they are not offering carts to to COVID. Every other course is doing this and we paid for a cart. Asked if they would refund the car fee and they said they couldn't. Offered us a 6 pack of beer instead. I don't really drink when playing. They said fine we can cancel your tee time and issue refund. Made no sense that they could cancel but not refund the $8 difference each for a cart fee. We wanted to play so just accepted the 6 pack which is ridiculous!!

I arrived and the lady was NOT wearing a mask. They didn't have pencils and claimed it was due to COVID. So here we are no carts, no pencils, using covid as an excuse, but they don't wear masks???

The course? Absolutely joke! Played here years ago and course was immaculate and amazing. Half the greens were burnt out and they used sand to fix. Traps have no sand. Fairways are like cow pastures. NO tee boxes or markers for tee boxes, so just tee off where you think is right, and the tee boxes were worse than cow pastures, complete garbage.

This is an extremely hilly course, so no carts was a challenge. Them to have the course in compete crap shape, even worse. We were on of 10 people on the course, so not sure how carts was an issue whatsoever.

Our opinion, will NEVER play here again. Great layout and used to be amazing, but just complete junk now. Seems like they are trying to screw people by doing as little work on the course as possible while still charging based on what it used to be!

BTW, we get it is December, but just NO excuse for not at least having tee boxes!! They did have some arrows in paint, but at least 1/3rd of these were completely off what the scorecard had for distance.

I really like playing this course as you have to use several clubs on your way. Th scenery is worth the trip. I like the challenge of each of the holes as there is the risk reward with each shot. The staff is outstanding as they do everything to make your fun.

The course was in horrible shape. Everything! I'm in the grass business, so I know what I'm talking about. What was once a very nice course is now only fit for goats or cattle ti graze. I'm sure they have to small a maintenance crew and don't apply the proper chemicals to keep it in good shape. I was very disappointed.

One of my central Ohio favorite courses. Because of weather conditions the past several years, it has experienced some challenges. Even though it is beat-up, I still enjoy playing it. Wonderful setting, lots of nature, many challenging holes, don't want to use driver on several of the par 4's.

Used to play every Monday with a foursome about 12 years ago. Used to be one of the best. Needs some serious love. I know the challenges of maintaining a course; worked on greens crew at both Medallion and OSU Scarlet and Gray. But greens were real bad. Still a challenging layout and beautiful track of land. The cost was a value, will play again there if nothing else for the course that I know it can be.
