Reid Park Golf Club - North Course
About
There are two 18-hole courses at Reid Park Golf Club, the North and the South. The courses have been providing one of the greater Springfield area's best golf values for over 40 years. The championship North Course is the longer and more challenging of the two. The South Course is open and walkable while the North Course features a hillier terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Mature trees frame the large, slick greens and there are also strategically placed bunkers throughout. Many locals consider it to be one of the toughest golf courses in the area. Though there are different tees so that you can play to your skill level, beginners may want to stick with the South Course, which still has challenges but is more player-friendly than the North.

Bad traps
I did everything on line except payment, it took me a little over 10 minutes when got to counter. Guys were too slow.
The course was in ok shap, fairways and rough were in good shape. The greens need some work, but the sand traps were beyond bad, embarrassing. All the bunkers had zero sand, was raked dirt with rocks in them, alot of rocks.
Reid North is steady
Two two-somes were very gracious in allowing this single to play thru. The course is in great shape. The backside after 2 holes hit the skids. All was good just not a quick as the front. Course conditions were great.
Sunday funday
Course was in good shape considering all the rain we've had, very rough cart paths-extremely rough cart paths!!! Greens firm and moderate speed , fairways beautiful
Still Very Wet
The course was very wet due to approximately six inches of rain in the last week. Traps were destroyed obviously. My only issue is what happened to gold tees? It leaves a 1100 yard gap between tee boxes. That makes one two long and one two short for many seniors.
Awesome
I always love coming to this course and playing the north course. Such a fun layout and course
Good but challenging
Good course challenging for high handicap player but fun. Rough eats balls
Great Course
Nice course for the price, spread out quite a bit, and has some hills throughout that can make it a little more difficult. I loved the course though will definitely play here again.
Reid Pk North all to myself
Couldn’t believe I was all alone on Reid Park North. The Sun was out, light wind and around 58*. A light jacket was perfect. Great Fall golf. The course was in great shape and greens rolling very nicely. The course crew has addresses leaves on the course and while I anticipated a concern for leaves, it never affected my play. I played alone and sailed right around the course line I owned it. Loved playing today and got a great Golfnow rate and used some rewards that made my rate very appealing. I don’t get many days like today to enjoy, it was special. This course is a treasure.
Both courses great
I really enjoyed both my days there on North and South. Back 9 of north was slow but we were a twosome.
Bad maintenance
Course needs lots of work. $10 extra for my wife to ride, not play, crazy, I going elsewhere.
Beautiful and challenging
Was surprised by the shape of the greens this time of year, as they were in amazing condition. The course is beautiful and challenging. Great value for the money!
Best round of my golf life! (43 years)
It's a course like most that you want to stay on or near the fairway to be able to score well. I was fortunate to be hitting well that day and pulled off a 76. :) The greens and fairways are holding up well considering how dry it has become lately. The bunkers still need a lot of work.
Disappointed
First off course was not in the greatest of shape greens weren’t that bad except for a few PEIA play though five hours and 40 minutes for a round of golf because we’re following two fivesome and a foursome that held everybody up all day no Rangers no car girl no beverages out on the course if you’re gonna charge 50 bucks at least make it worth that
Pace of play is horrible
I played there yesterday 8/11/25 and I have played there quite a bit and pace of play has always been a problem but yesterday I took us 5 1/2 hrs to play a round on the North course. I will probably not play here again due to absolutely zero enforcement on pace of play!!
The rough was tough
If you miss the fairway, keep a close watch of where your ball goes. It was hard to find our ball sometimes. Most of the bunkers were pretty much unplayable. Many courses around here this year are this way. But for $16 each with the hot deal, you can't complain about much! :)
