Rocky Lakes Golf Course
About
Rocky Lakes Golf Course in Springfield is like playing two courses in one. The shorter front nine is wide-open, offering a gentle start before moving on to the more slightly more demanding, par-36 back nine. Mature trees and water hazards come into play on the back as well as the occasional bunker. It is not a difficult layout by any means, but there are a few challenges in store. Overall the golf course is very player friendly, making it best for beginners as well as junior golfers. Intermediate and more advanced players will be disappointed if they are looking for a course that will test their skills, but the affordable rates make Rocky Lakes Golf Course a good option for a quick game where you can get a little practice.

Love the course
I love Rocky Lakes, great spread out course that js good for beginners, no dress code, and reasonably proced
Gret course to tune your game
I use this course as a practice round. Typically not crowded. I play by myself and occasionally hit a second ball to help get my swing ready for summer.
Cheap and fun
One of my favorite places to play, always very laid back at this course. You can wear your sleeveless shirt and some Levi's if youd like.
Don't expect to play fast. Don't expect people to know golf etiquette. This is not the course for serious players with their butt cheeks clinched tight.
With all this being said the course is laid out well and the greens are always in good shape.
I've played here twice this year already and will be back at least once a month moving forward.
30 mins per hole
Waited up to 30 mins on holes. 1 group of 4 had 4 other groups waiting on a single hole. I skipped 9 went to 10. The same group of 4 rolled up behind me directly after my teeshot and started hitting balls as I took my second shot. I went to the clubhouse and suggested a ranger get out there. I was informed that they lady working was the only person there and rangers only come on Saturdays to keep pace. I left the corse and didnt finish the round. The lady also answers the phone. "Hello" so you have no clue if you have the right number. Overall worst experience I've had in golf.
It's pretty good course.
It's a little bit short course. But not easy to play course. easy but also difficult.
I love this place.
4th of July golf
I took my father in law and my brother in law here for my father in laws birthday on the 4th of July. The course layout and condition wasn't bad by any means. 2 holes have a nice serene little creek flowing through them which I enjoyed. We stopped off for about 45 minutes at bogeys to get lunch which was pretty good and the staff inside of there were really nice. We did however run into an issue with being nagged at about pace of play when we got stuck behind a slow player and the worker was pretty rude about it. After lunch we were caught behind someone who was really slow and we were nagged at about pace of play while we ourselves were going pretty quick for 3 players. Every so often though we would have to stop and wait for the guy in front of us. Not a word was said to the guy in front of us who was going slow when we had to keep waiting though. While the course itself was nice, I won't go somewhere that I'm going to be nagged at about pace of play when I'm stuck behind someone who's slow.
Hot time
Some wet spots that day, noticed some inconsiderate golfers driving in wet areas! Course played well, mowers were active making course beautiful, great job gents! Challenging holes played hard due to wetness but fair!
Greens
Greens are in great shape and they have done a lot of work to improve course.
