About
Sugar Isle Golf Course was designed by Jack Kidwell, a familiar name among southern Ohio golf courses. Water is a prominent feature of the course, Kidwell incorporated it on more than half of the holes. Some 20 white sand bunkers are strategically placed throughout the layout, providing a scenic contrast to the water and lush greens. For an added challenge, many of the fairways are lined with mature trees although there is some room for error, which makes them more accessible. It is a course that will make you think but it is not too intimidating for beginners. The versatility makes it popular for outings and tournaments. Sugar Isle has even hosted the area's high school programs for more than 30 years. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range and large putting green.

Always a great time at Sugar Isle. Greens in great shape after all this drought weather around here. Jon and staff are always friendly.
Take a look at the 2 greens closest to the pro shop before you pay. Then decide, all of the the greens are gone!
Need to repair some area
the Course is quite good to play. pace of play also not bad. Staff also so kind to us. But Course condition needs to repair. some portion is just without grass even near green. it's ok to me if i pay USD 30~ 35 but USD 50 is too high to play.
Review
The course has a lot of potential but not maintained very well especially the tees and greens. If it were maintained this would be a really good course especially for the price.
Messed up schedule
The course accepted tee times during a woman’s league and had a high school tournament going on during our time. Everybody else was jammed up trying to get our 18 in. There were times when there was 4 groups ona hole with one or more waiting at the tee.
Great pace of play
Course conditions were good. Tee boxes were a little rough. Greens running 6 to 7 average. Pace of play was excellent…finished 3 1/2 hours. For a Sunday?
Solid course
One of my favorite "budget," courses in the area. The greens were in great shape and have improved since last year. I've played the course 4 times now this year and will be back at least that many times later this year.
