Reid Park Golf Club - South Course
About
Reid Park Golf Club has two 18-hole courses available, the North and the South. Originally opened in 1967, Reid Park has established a reputation as one of the best golf values in the area. The South Course is a challenging but playable layout, which is why it is the home course for many of the area's high school teams. The golf course is laid across gently rolling, open terrain that allows for the occasional errant shot. It has a very player-friendly nature and it is easy to walk. The course is not overly punishing but there are still a few challenges in store. If you're looking for a tougher test, the championship North Course is the way to go. In addition to Reid Park's two golf courses, there is also a driving range and two putting greens.

Good time
My buddy and I enjoyed the South Course. The course layout is tougher than you think. We had a good time, cuz the weather was perfect and the pace of play was under 4 hours…easy. Keep it going, Reid Park…we will be back.
Great shape
Course was in excellent shape. Still a few areas with some residual water from last week's flooding, but overall the course looks great. Only slight quibble is the rough is quite thick in some areas and could use some mowing. Pace of play was rather slow in part because balls in the rough often required a search party even if you knew where to look.
Great and challenging course
The course was great! It was my first time playing their south course and the woman at the pro shop was super friendly and explained the layout and everything to me before I took off. I will say for being new to golf some of the holes are really close together, so be prepared for that, but besides that I loved it and will definitely play again.
Course conditions
The cart paths need work, The fairways are loaded with dandelions and some of the greens need serious attention to rid them of the dead spots of grass
Can’t escape the senior citizens.
Always full of old men who play at the slowest pace possible, and don’t let faster groups play through. It’s not monitored by the course/they don’t really care.
North conditions are still less than desirable, bunkers have not been taken care of for years. Could be a top course but it’s not cared for. South seems to be in better shape so far.
It’s 90% a nursing home for golfers, including some of the staff.
Missing some tee markers and direction boxes would help in places
Enjoyable
Nothing to complain about. Nice greens, boxes and fairways. Forgiving off the tee. Small, elevated greens
Good value for the money.
Simple muni design with not a lot of trouble. Greens were in good shape and rolled true.
Great food ! Get the cheeseburger!
All was great ! Only real issue is some of the greens have some work that needs to be done! They are a couple green repairs away from an amazing little gem ! Food is very good ! Staff is fantastic!
Whoa!!!
We finished front nine. Made the turn and a twosome had cut in front of us. I called the pro shop and they wouldn't do anything about it so play on the back was much slower.
Just not the same unfortunately.
Played this course 20 some years ago and loved it, actually won a tournament there. Greens were rough and there's no sand in any bunkers. The people of Springfield Ohio should be seriously upset at their municipal golf courses in this condition.
